Elfie boy!! Now my day is complete. How lovely to see you return to tease us, even though with a mere taste of your company.

You think it's wet down there? Oh sweetie, I would have you satuarated in no time at all....it's not stopped raining weekly if not daily here for so long my feet now have webbing.....Did mention I was Dutch as well didn't I? Laughs.

Nice to see that sinners always come home to roost. Be well, I'd say behave, but why change a life time of habit now?

:kiss:MsMoon:kiss:

Ms Moon as always you say the most interesting things...no I didn't know you were Dutch...now what was that about story about sticking fingers in Dutch things...may be that might help to stem the flow...

A big  for the new year. Hope your festive season went well. Mine was busy even before we got to Christmas and New Year. I was too tired to celebrate New Year's, nearly fell asleep before the midnight fireworks. Hoping for a much more positive year in all ways.

Not sure why you would think I would not behave...I's a good boy I is....I always ask first....

Prime Minister Julia Gillard - Australia

Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday to get out of Australia , as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks..

Separately, Gillard angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying she supported spy agencies monitoring the nation's mosques. Quote:

'IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT.. Take It Or Leave It.

I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali , we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians. '

'This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom'

'We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society . Learn the language!'

'Most Australians believe in God. This is not some Christian, right wing, political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.'

'We will accept your beliefs, and will not question why All we ask is that you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us.'

'This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Australian freedom, 'THE RIGHT TO LEAVE'.'

'If you aren't happy here then LEAVE. We didn't force you to come here. You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted.'

I agree with Brother Bear if it wasn't for Christians settling this country what would it be like...there would be no pollution, the Tasmanian Aboriginals would still be alive, the native people wouldn't be able to buy beer and there would be no internet in this country. In fact if it wasn't for Christians how could those people of the Americas cope, the place would be a jungle and the buffalo would of kept their hides for themselves. The British Raj would not have happened, aparthied would never have been invented and don't get me started on the Crusades...what's the point of having Crusaders if they have no place to go....Christian Christian Christian.Oi! Oi! Oi!

love you people and wish we were as strong as you are , if you don't like it then GO South !

Thanks for the welcome Warrior Queen!

I call it "Football" 90% of the time Wasn't sure if I was going to met with Football hostility being the Aussie forum..... Good to hear that there is someone on here to vent about Liverpool with. I promise you, I'm a real fan!

Arsenal had a great win a couple yesterday, hope you guys can pull the rug out from under Man U this year.

On to the next question:

A really good BLT with avocado and some herbed mayo.... or maybe that's what I feel like now. There's a cafe down the road that make a really nice one!

What the fuck is up with this generation...a BLT with avo-bloody-cado and herbed mayo....what the?? Don't tell me you take that with a soy latte decaf. what is St. Kilda coming to?? Hopefully Acland street won't change...I need a Rum Bubba every so often.

(I'd rather like someone tall dark and handsome to keep me company on new years eve... but alas santa didn't come through with that present)

They all want the tall dark and handsome ones...nobody wants the short light and ugly ones...they must have an underground club..standing around in corners mumbling...then again isn't it what is on the inside that counts...so long as your not short light and ugly.....women.... such a riddle

love you people and wish we were as strong as you are , if you don't like it then GO South !

Hey Softey,

I'm in the South... let the buggers go west the trams are crowded enough :D

I'm also as we say in this county "taking the piss" in my own subtle way. Just my Dark Elf way.

have a good day

Evening all,

Been away from Lit for over a month, most of that time on holidays, still on leave until the end of next week but busy doing reno tasks and need a break, just wish the option wasn't going back to work. Seems everytime I want to paint stuff it get bloody warm.

Hope everyone had a good and safe festive season. Hello to all the new people..as Gil would say..fill in your details in your profile so we get to know you quicker.

Gil - congrats on the anniversay and a peck on the cheek for Bandit

Kayte - I see that Bald Eagle is making like a pigeon..wander which country is next?

A Christmas religious joke:

Two friends were talking about how they spent Christmas. The Christian kid says my dad took me to the stores and bought me some great presents. He asks his friend how he spent Christmas the Jewish kid says, may dad took me to all the stores he owns and showed me the empty shelves.

Hi to all in Aussie Land!!

For those of you that have been watching the Mog v's Callie Cricket wager, unfortunately we have had to put it on hold this weekend. Sadly my Mum passed away on Friday after a long illness. Thankfully Mike (Mog) is here with me at this time and has been a wonderful support.

 Callie

Callie,

My thoughts are with you at this time of loss. Words offer little comfort I know, but it is the warmth of the hearts behind those words that let us know we are held there. Sending you strength for when you need it. A smile for when yours is hidden by tears.

ELFIE!! Does a happy dance. Oh dear lord I must get a hobby or a life. But it is good to hear from you. Now it is Dykes dear boy and I have had my fingers in a few of those over the years let me tell you. (mind from gutter....we used to made dams in the creeks and if the stones came out I'll put my finger in while they found new stones.....though....well the other is true too...but that's a whhhoollllle other story ;)).

Glad to hear your Christmas/New Year was good. Mine was quiet, still recuperating after my foray to Wellington...love it so much there I want to live there. sighs.... Though the 20 year old lad who pursued me and wanted to um...keep me company was a little beyond me. At 20 there was not way I was spending time with anyone old enough to be my um....Aunty....yes that is it, Aunty.

Now as for you being a good boy, well that does remain to be um proved...smiles. Always ready to evaluate your abilities...have a clipboard and white coat ....blinks... Do I need to bring my cane with me if it turns out you are naughty? mmmmm

Well I hope this cominng year brings you all that you desire, want, need and a little more on top.

:kiss:MsMoon:kiss:

Waves and blows a  to Mr Gil and Bandit. Hope you are both well and thriving in this new year.

Waves to Kaye and sends a cheery hello!
