I have seen some headlines that grabbed me, drug me into the story and made sense. I have seen Headlines that were hyperbole, but this one struck me as odd.

In 2010 America? I'll be surprised if the Judge doesn't kiss him and say, "Naughty Naughty, Tom. Don't do it again."

No need really after the Supream's sold our political process to Wall Street."

Dragged you into the story. "Drug" is only correct when referring to pharmaceutic matters.

:p

Although it makes an excellent dialect tag in quoted dialogue...

There are several famous UK ones:

Fog in Channel: Europe cut off.

Plane crashes into cemetery: Not many dead.

Dead Councillor Wins Election

Dead Councillor Wins Election

That last one isn't so far off. In MO, a dead man was elected senator. The voters all knew he was dead; they just didn't want to vote for his opponent, and not voting for anybody was seen as accomplishing that same thing.

The loser became W's AG.

Dead Councillor Wins Election

That wouldn't be out of the ordinary in the States. In most localities, you don't have to be alive when the vote is taken to win an election--just when you register for the election.
