Have you ever left your erotica lying around?

I had an interesting experience the other day. I had some downtime at work and I was scribbling in a little notebook I use to outline stories (almost all erotic in some way) and take notes etc. I left the notebook at work over night and it was given back by my boss the next day. It was only blind luck that this little book did not contain references to cocks, cunts and lurid descriptions of sexual intercourse all laid out for my boss's perusal. I had just filled up my old notebook and this new one only had a couple pages of writing, none of which was graphically sexual. My boss even commented on the notebook's content (which kind of pissed me off. I wouldn't read someone else's journal, myself.) and it made me wonder what he would have said if it had been full of sex scenes.

I tend to write wherever and whenever I get the chance and because of the nature of my work I have had several close calls like this one. Once I left a journal half full of erotic musings in the passenger door of a u-haul. My name and phone number was in there too. I'm still afraid that I'm going to get a call someday from a random stranger quoting one of my sex scenes. Another time I left a binder full of drafts, notes and ahem, inspirational photos, at my work station and only just remembered to get them back in time to save myself from exposure.

Has anyone else had any similar experiences? Has your boss ever looked over you shoulder at the wrong time and caught you writing something naughty? Has mom ever peeked at your computer and seen your latest erotica? What happened? How did they respond?

Nope, thanks to a prying and judgmental mother when I was coming up, I am very paranoid about that sort of thing. It was years before I stopped writing my diary in code. Today, all my stories are passworded, even though, theoretically, there's no one in my household to object to them.

I do most of my writing at work, and I have on occasion gone ot lunch with Word open for anyone to see. Luckily, I am alone in the office 99% of the time. My boss shows up every few months or years, but I have never been caught with it by him.

Although I dreamed last night that his car was ahead of mine and that I needed to get to the office before him to close everything before he saw it...

Nope. All mine is kept in password protected files on computers or flash drives. Nothing, repeat, nothing I've written is on paper anywhere except for one story I wrote specifically for HM. I don't have any minors in the house and I'm retired but I still am very careful about where I write what.

People have learned to avoid my monitor and any printed pages they find lying on my desk.

Preventing people from reading my work has never been a problem.

lol - No, but keep in mind that my former co-workers, all my friends and entire family know I write about sex and I don't feel the least bit embarrassed by it. It's hard to feel shame when you take pride in what you write. ;)

No. It's been a chore hiding it, but so far, I've managed. It helps that I manage to churn out a fair amount of mainstream work too. People just think I'm a slow writer.

Something I was reading...

I use to read the Literotica stories at work all the time.. Had a private office so it was fairly easy to read while I worked and minimize if someone came in. I got in the bad habit of minimizing when I would leave the office if I thought I would be right back. I ran down the hall one day to check a system and ended up being gone 45 minutes or more.. When I walked back into my office one of the young summer interns was at my desk. He was obviously very embarrassed and told me he was just going to leave me a note.. Luckily he was more interested in the story he was reading then causing trouble. It turned out well but could have gone the other way very easily..

There is real freedom in living out in the open.
