To the twisted wreck
We merrily skipped
Both under the spell of wine
and hand in hand we pushed the boat
into the open jaws of time

Her skin was soft when we began
My hands were wrinkle free
Now smashed upon the sand bank
This twisted wreck are we

Our ballast tossed and bounty sunk
Our rigging knotted, rotting, lost
The lighthouse bell hath tolled our cost
In foundered league with serpent crossed

So if you come down to the ocean
And venture out to sea
We'll meet you on the other side
A twisted wreck we'll be

nice to see you posting, m. especially enjoying the whole of v3. it would be nice to see you visiting others' work here and leaving your own comments as well as posting your own. this tends to gather more responses than simply dropping your own writes and running. ;)

Don't say don't to me.

Don't say soon or never,

Nor faint praise Damned,

With rust,

Nostalgic.

Dusted over graveyard stones

Where burdens fall,

bereft of any care

And when I call,

corroded and forever

silent, blessed and unspoiled.

Your answer , still,

is no
