At the risk of ranting, its not surprising though. Theres no proper parking near these and the street parking is a fortune if you can find a space, so no wonder people go out of town to huge ones, I do too.

Well, you could say that. Or you could say I'm tight and would rather cycle than drive across town ;)

God bless refrigeration! I loved the way they all went to the pub the night before Market and left the pies in too long. What an arse!

I thought that was what he said! I thought they were going to drop the pig carcass as well when they were trying to get it on the slab!

We are near butchers but, they are pretty expensive!

I don't blame you! :D

Ha ha those pies........eww......I'd have been with them in the pub though :D

I don't think they would have worried if they'd dropped it, after the stuff that went into the bread

It was very good......The high street through the decades :)
Interesting & funny!
I don't know what it was like in America, but over here we had a high street with Butcher, baker, green grocer, grocer, iron monger, fish monger.......years ago :)
Those places are few and far between here but I know of a few and enjoy visiting them. Wal-Mart has finished off most of the old time shopping experiences in America. :(

Is Wal-Mart the only supermarket you have over there?

:D

Aww......thank you
My pleasure_me_. :rose: I'm gonna go soon. Need to do finances & shopping list for tomorrow! UGHH! I'll talk to you in a few hours. Have a good sleep & sweet dreams! None of those scary nightmares allowed! :D
Good night

Thats true, they are a bit, but I justify it by not driving there. I can see the argument for big out of time supermarkets (I still use them) but It will be a shame if small shops only exist as a side show (kind of thing)

Yeah the quaffing of ale did look good. And the hours they were doing, cant say i'd be too keen to return to that!

What did they put in the bread in the end, I say the list the chap was going through, but had to do something and missed what they put in?

Morning gorgeous- hope you're well:kiss:

Mmm, such a lovely sight....

It's been good thanks :)
We watched the high street programme......The high street through the decades. Did you see it? Was good :)

Yes, I saw that- really good. Couldn't believe some of the people though:rolleyes:- I think it says a lot about how lazy we've got about things like shopping.

Ah, the wonder that is Tesco delivery! Amazon love me, specially this time of year, I hate shopping at the best of times but even more so at xmas, so god bless Amazon. Haven't used the wrapping service yet, but its tempting...

Thank goodness for that, I was wondering how they were going to swing it past the inspectors to use sawdust, or chalk. Did anyone notice?.

I'm using Ocado at the moment & loving it!! :D

Oh yes, Amazon :)

Well, the husband put too much salt in & didn't bake them fully, so everyone was bringing them back!! :D

Oooo get you with your Waitrose shopping!;):D In all fairness, I've never used them so shouldn't criticise.

Where would we be without internet shopping and Amazon! Argos is sooo last year.

Doh! I caught the bit when she was trying to sell it as part baked, that explains it! Genius idea though, shame it didn't work:)
