Lately when I get feedback sent to my e-mail, I've noticed that there's no way to tell what story the reader is referencing. I used to be able to, and looking back over some old feedback, I see that the title of the story is part of the email.

Is this an option somewhere that I need to set, or was it a feature that got dropped off at some point?

The feedback is likely being sent directly from your Contact page rather that from the chapter being read.

You only get the chapter notification if the reader hits the links on the actual chapter.

Makes sense. It seems that sometimes the reader is talking about a specific story, only for the life of me I can't figure out which one. It's like a puzzle. :D

Happens to me too. I just assume they're talking about the latest chapter posted. If you haven't posted anything recently then that could be a little confusing LOL

That's why I post there, just to poke the trolls. They are so easy to poke too.:D

Loving Wives

Why is this category so controversial? Don't think I've ever read in it before.

Because it isn't really about loving wives at all. It's about cheating wives--and there are at least two rabid factions of readers who have an agenda on that topic.

You've said too little. What are the agendas?

There are slut wives who get punished. There are slut wives who punish their cuckold husbands. There are loving wives who love everybody with every orifice at a moment's notice, involving their husbands, or making their husbands watch as they are used.

Or, as I write Loving Wives, they are wives who love their husbands, period. That is apparently not acceptable to ANY of the followers of the Loving Wives category.

Almost any type of story posted to the Loving Wives category will offend some group or other, all of whom have very definite views of what a Loving Wives story is, and if yours isn't their particular version - you're a target.

Guess I'm fortunate that my characters -- bisexual emo women with a definite fem-dom slant -- don't fit into that category.

Damn! Sounds like so much fun that I may have to post there. That's if I can come up with a well crafted story that NONE of them like. What's the minimum rating before they kick you off of this place?

I have a story that I worked on when I first came here, "Model Home," that I had planned on putting in Loving Wives as it is a story of a woman who is concerned about her depressed (job, money etc) husband and decides to surprise him as a means of cheering him up. Gee, go figure, she loves him. After learning about the category, I haven't posted it yet as I don't think the category readers will like it at all as she really is just a loving wife. I'm thinking erotic coupling will work better. How screwed up is that!

Stories stay up until either you take them down or somebody protests some legal issue and it is proven (ie copyright or plagiarism issues.)

So it will stay up for the whole world to see and Loving Wives readers to hate for all eternity, or we run out of power for all the computers - whichever comes first!

Good luck and welcome to the AH! Nice to have you here

I just went and looked over my profile page, where there is a Contact tab and the ability to send private mail to myself. Yay! I'm having a wonderful conversation with me.

I then went and looked over a story page and, lo and behold!, there is no way to contact me through private mail, just public comments. This is new! I'd think that perhaps I'm missing it, but Lit's pages are all very user friendly and not that hard to figure out. In the old system, when someone sent an email from the story page, the story title was attached. Without that private comment feature, the story attachment can't happen.

I think I miss that feature. I'm going to have to consider it some more.

KillerMuffin, do you have your commenting turned off? I checked out one of your stories to see if I could leave you a comment and I couldn't. I could vote you a five, which I did :D (Seducing the Imagination...nice!), and could leave a public comment but not a private comment.

I looked at my stories at random and another author's page and stories and I could see where I could send private comments from both. Maybe it's just your settings?
