will admit not much of knowledge of s&m aspect but I like the control aspect and some other things not in to giving pain aside from some spanking as it were but was curious about subs that Ive met

I called them the bitch and the toy

The bitch is one who fights back likes you to force her in to her role the boss bitch put in her place as it were

now my question is are there proper terms for these types?

There's no central authority to designate proper terms in BDSM. No Bureau of Dominant practices, no submissive licensing office.

There are multiple definitions for pretty much every term I know of in the lifestyle... So, you decide what you want to call your playmates, and if someone else calls them different, you can use the power of mutual conversation to achieve understanding.

It's a strictly DIY proposition.

Yes, basically, there are no definable rules in BDSM. Oh, there are safety rules, top and bottom rules, but even those are up for debate, depending on who you talk to or play with. Some people will take a little risk to get their jollies.

It's an evolving exercise in sex, domination and submission with a touch of bondage, a bit of torment and/or pain (some mental and some physical), with an unlimited list of variants of each of these to satisfy the tastes of the participants. The participants could be female, male, heterosexual, gay, lesbian, bisexual or a little bit of all. I guess the only true rule in safe BDSM is "at least two consenting adults". And I could even be wrong in that assumption.

It would be nice to have something like this but how do you enforce any rules? Tie them to a tree and beat them? Too many would want to get caught and we'd have repeat offenders.
