Hello everyone, my husband and I are looking to begin a dom/sub relationship and we have a bunch of questions. We would like to find an experienced couple to discuss them with. Is that a possibility? We would like to get to know them also. We have been married for 6 months now and am very much in love. This has been a long-standing fantasy of mine and weve experimented a bit in the bedroom but I would like to extend it further into our lives. My husband is 32 and I am 27. Were willing to be as open as possible. Thank you for taking the time to read this post and considering any possibilities. I hope to find a couple soon or welcome any advice. Thank you :)

If you are looking to converse with/learn from/be mentored by a couple, specifically - this needs to be posted in the BDSM Personals section.

If it doesn't HAVE to be a specific couple to couple discussion (or whatever it was you had in mind) - might I point out the BDSM Talk/BDSM Cafe forums are full of well educated, articulate, generous people who are more than happy to discuss any questions you may have via threads (or occasionally PM)?

I would recommend asking and discussing in the forum over selecting another couple to discuss everything with. Why? Because by taking part in discussions here, with a variety of people who have at times a wealth of experience, and varying perspectives and experience to go on, you will get a lot more knowledge and selection of perspectives and experiences than if you go with just one couple who may only have their own perspective, and even possibly very little real time experience. From that you can then take what you think will work for both of you.

That's a very good point. I discussed how he wanted to handle asking the questions and he said he would prefer the message board anyway. I don't really have any questions so I guess the next posting will be from him. Thank you both for your help. :)

You're welcome :)

Ah, knowledge can sometimes be confusing to begin with, but sure beats not having access to knowledge and being told one way is the only true and right way.:D Knowledge is power.

This. I was pointed to this forum for use by my Dom when first curious because he obviously wants me to learn his way, but also feels a variety of knowledge and perspective never hurt anyone. Not all Doms have experience in everything that might come up and not all subs can answer all questions for the same reason. I've learned a lot by asking some questions here, and much much more by just reading the threads that others contribute to. With some rare exceptions, this forum is composed of friendly, helpful people.

Thanks for the compliment to the forum:rose:, and yes, it does give you an idea to explore what might and might not work for you. Sometimes you find something you thought was absolutely not your thing, can through sharing of information and different perspectives become a treasured one....and then there is always safety to be considered.

Try to remember, though, that no person, couple or even group has the "one, true, right way" to do *anything,* when it comes to relationships. Talk to many, listen to some, follow the advice - in specific areas - of a few, always keeping in mind that the only "one, true, right way" is what works for YOU.
