That seems like a very thorough list. Would you like me to go ahead and ask some of the writers if they would be interested? Or should I ask one at a time? Or would you guys prefer if Wolfie did it as it is her story? I don't wish to step on anyone's toes...I am merely trying to help. *smiles softly*

I suppose the main criteria for me is that John's role isn't a typical vampire stereotype. I am not sure what Wolf Vixen and Ezra had planned, but as far as what was going on with Elysia, John's role was actually quite darkly romantic. Without giving too much away, Elysia was designed and created to allow John to see the error of Renee's ways and to start him in the right direction to heal past wounds so that his relationship with Trinity would be rather intense. Is that a direction we still wish to keep heading in? I personally would prefer to keep it that way if possible, but I also know that a lot of male writers do not like to write such roles.

I suppose what I am asking you guys is what parts of John's psyche are a MUST to keep and what parts can be left to the future writer's will? I know that a new writer will bring a lot to the role, but I also feel that there are just some parts of the role that shouldn't be tampered with. I just think we should have a clear idea in our mind before we start asking people to take over the role.

Not being silly Shy, not at all. I am trying not to add some people I write with simply because I don't want anything to come up that I am giving the part by favoritism.

I have written with MusicKane and Last_Rider, they are both very good.....between those two Last_Rider would be more on the 'romantic' side. I asked Marauder13 about the same time I asked Veroe about playing a part and never got a response.

Shy I know you said you wanted to make sure that the ideas that you and Ezra talked about keep going. The only 'informative' one is the setting him up part we had talked about. Otherwise I am certain that you can get a good idea from the posts thus far.

Ezra created John with the idea that he was the solution, go to man when it came to vampires. He solved the problems. Renee is his maker and in a way has a hold on him, though a dark one. He is sent after Trinity thinking it was a normal job, but something about her strikes at him and he needs to know more. They flirt, they tease, it is like a cat and mouse game between them. As you can see as they go along like this she pulls out the good side in John, but of course twists and turns will start making that a roller coaster as well.

That was the main idea about John and Trinity....a connection, a temptation, a flirt, one getting the upper hand on the other for that time, but the other comes back and takes the upper hand back......so cat and mouse, but the cat always changing. I hope that helps in figuring out who we should select. Shy if you like you are more than welcome to start with who you think will be good for the role and if they pass what you need you can send them my way.

Is there anyone else that would need to make sure items or ideas are handled?

I will put the list up here and mark them off as I have already have gotten a few denials due to overwhelming number of threads they are currently in. that fits in with my thinking on both characters too. And would play into my idea that Allejandro is a dark reflection of John without a Trinity or Elysia to balance the unhinging effect Renee played on Allejandro and is playing on John now.

I don't think we should put such restrictions on the new writer. If he's worth his salt as a writer he'll know instinctively the parts that MUST be kept and what he'll have leeway to make his own.

MusicanKane's the best example. In another thread I was in with him he took over a role from Light Ice, and managed to keep the character the same in the stuff that mattered to the story and the other characters but different as in the way he was written since LI and Kane have different writing styles.

It's not a bad read of a thread. I really liked how Ezra kicked it off actually, keeps you rather captivated from number one. Oh and uh, Veroe is like your biggest fan darling so you might wanna watch him *eye roll*

Oh and I'm hoping to discuss a possible run in between Leah and Reese in our thread, Lucian. It would involve a little superhero intervention by Damien because of her injured arm but he has to leave her side first - I wanna do this within Gomorrah so I'll PM you after I get some sleep and think on it a bit. If you have any ideas though, hit me up while I'm sleeping.

That was certainly a fair bit in just one post my dear, lol. I would be lying if I said I didn't agree with you when you say that we have on screen chemistry, lol.

As for the info about Veroe, that is actually a surprise, lol. Thankfully, being both a sub and a male, I dodge most of the pm's from fanboys/fangirls, so I am very rarely aware of how others feel about what I write. I do it mostly for me and my partners. In my case, it serves as a much needed means of expression that I can do around my 8-10 hours a day 2nd shift work schedule.

As long as we're borrowing this section for a brief bit of OOC chat about our thread, I'm sure we can come up with something. I hadn't been aware of you wanting to do it so soon, especially since such an encounter could end in Reese's death, lol, but we'll manage, as we always do.

I'm sure you're already gone, but you have a good night, and we'll talk tomorrow.

This may be off the wall, and John's not the usual character he likes to play-so it may be a no go right there-but what about Kitten-of-Death. I know he's just come back from a long period of having no internet and consequently alot of his threads have died out so...he should be available to join us without stretching himself thin.
