A lot of Literotica stories, perhaps all of them, are available at sex-stories-online.com/.

What's the procedure on this? Do I just PM Laurel? Does it require an email? What?

Because I just want my cut of the ad revenue if my stuff is going to be posted there.

I have a feeling this site may have already been reported in this forum...

But yeah, PM Laurel and/or Manu. They'll know which pirate sites they've tangled with before...

EDIT: Nope. My bad. I was thinking of another site with a similar title, but different web address. I've never seen this one mentioned before.

I saw one of mine there. They have El Paso, a piece I wrote over three years ago.

First time I've found one stolen, although that's not saying it hasn't happened before.

Cool, they have one of mine there, too. Oh well, they pay as much as Literotica pays.

They have my over the sink stories, but the descriptions are all kinds of wrong...

Just out of curiousity, are either of you credited as the authors of the stories? Most of the sites that copy the stories neglect to copy the author's name.

I browsed the site earlier and I couldn't find any of mine. Yeah, yeah, I know... big surprise  But all joking aside, I think it's all just automated. The thief doesn't pick out the stories they're gonna steal, personally. They just set their computer to "Select All, Copy & Paste" and go out to get a big mac and another roll of duct tape to patch up their cheap, worn-out inflatable sex partner.

There are three of the El Paso stories on that site in the Romance category, listed with the author name behind the title.

On Lit there are six El Paso stories in the Romance category alone, each listed with author name behind the title.

El Paso was one of the Jake Rivers Invitationals, thus the same title from so many authors.

It would seem our esteemed thief it hiding his identity. As the name is so similar to all the rest reported, I will be this is the same asshole that Lit. first shutdown a couple of years ago. onlinesexstories.com - remember him???

And his disclaimer is a laugh...

Disclaimer: This website contains adult material, all members and persons appearing on this site
have contractually represented to us that they are 18 years of age or older.

Whose this 'us' he is talking about?

And I couldn't find any of my stories on there...:(

no, no credit at all. one of mine went up on lit on 24 august, for the summer lovin' contest, and it was taken within two days i think. my comments about the lit contest have been copied and pasted too!

This one isn't completely automated. I tracked down one of mine, and whoever horked this bunch has taken the time to get the whole story -- seven Lit pages -- and strip the author's notes/closing notes that identify where the story came from.

I tried to access the site in question and my anti-virus/spyware Internet Communications Shield blocked it. It must be bulging with spyware and who knows what else. People are paying a heavy price to read this jokers stolen stories.

Probably the ads. I went in with Firefox & Adblocker, as I do any questionable site.

I don't think the stories have been stolen because they are still here on this site. I think those people are just borrowing them for awhile.:D

I'm not giving that thieving weasel any more attention than he's been getting.

From what I tell from the site stats on the name.com whois query he only get about 7 hits a week. And their probably all from him checking his counters.

How can he have any ads with that low a number of hits? My anti-virus/spyware doesn't spook over ad cookies...viruses and trojans are another matter. That site's a minefield.

A lot of those ads deliver viruses and trojans nowadays. I got nailed by an otherwise perfectly safe site because they went with a less than reputable ad server to try to boost ad revenue.

Naturally, those nasty ad servers dangle some pretty baubles in front of people, and it doesn't take long for them to do what they're intended to do, even if the website owner freaks and takes it down in a day after complaints. This site may very well be nothing more than a front to deliver those malware-laden ads.

Yeah - I saw at least three of mine on there, but all older, at least 3 years old. And as previously mentioned, they stripped the name, copyright, and all the opening comments. Also got all the pages.

No, I am not credited as author of the story. But since "Carnevil9" is not my real name, I'm not really credited on Literotica, either! Nor do I want to be (I wouldn't want the voters who sent me to the US Senate to know what I do in my spare time). I post stories here just for the fun of it. Getting mirrored on some other anonymous site really doesn't bother me in the least. But getting bootlegged - that's kind of a compliment!

That works for you, but some people eventually choose to pull their stories down, either for personal reasons or to sell.

Luckily (unluckily?) my stuff isn't captivating enough to be ripped off.

We all have a secret life.

It looks like many if not all of mine are there too. But whatever I post to the Internet I just assume is going to be bootlegged and reposted, with or without one of the several names I post under (none, my own, echoing Carnival on that). I post them to more than one read site myself. And most of them are all available for sale, too, and they do sell. The Internet is just fascinating that way. And rather than struggle ineffectually against it, I put my time into creating and posting more stories (and not posting them to free sites until they've had a good run in the for-fee marketplace).
