One of the story series he had sent me to "preview" was a subject that I'd never read - thought it wouldn't interest me - even found it distasteful. However, since I loved his writing so much I decided to give it a go. I'm not sure that I've ever been so turned on by a series in my life. It's "The Apartment" and based on a family... yes, incest. Obviously - incest stories can really spark a debate. Incest where there is non-consensual sex is of course repulsive and I speak from personal experience... yet again a reason why I thought I'd dislike the stories. I am not condoning or promoting incest, but it think it's a as likely a fantasy as a rape/non-consent one and actually when well written about love and support in a close knit family much more beautiful.

I think it was the taboo nature of the subject, the seduction, the chemistry that drew me in.

Curious to hear people's ideas, input (negative or positive), experience. If it's too personal feel free to PM.

AJ, yes he and Many Feathers are my top two writers. And many times the subject of the writing may not be something I would read but if I like the things someone has written I will read first chapter to see it I want to go on.

I have read many stories... in my read folder there are over 3000 shorts(less than a 100 pages) with 1200 full ones best thing to happen to me was when they started to but books online.. I also have 600+ paperbacks and about the same hardback books. I read about one book a day... but I have the time.

I do not comment much, but I do watch and I do read. You left quite a lot to read. I have started perving his stories. I did not think you wanted too much feedback on the subject matter until after that was done.

I will say that the incest subject does tend to disturb me when it comes to the parental interaction stories. Makes my skin crawl, but some of the more distant family members such as aunts, uncles, or cousins has never bothered me as much. Probably because I don't have a connection to my extended family so it does not paint a picture in my head.

Different strokes for different folks. I know I will get around to reading that tale anyway.

First of all thank you for responding... I just enjoy a good conversation and was a bit apprehensive about posting about a topic that makes many uncomfortable. Let me reiterate that I am not talking about forced incest - I lived that life - NO one should have to go through that.

I was always just like that with incest stories - I wouldn't even look at them. I had read many of GA's other stories so when he sent a story he forewarned there was some incest, knowing I did not care for that... I took a chance and read it. The seduction built up between the brother and sister was simply HOT...

That being said, I can enjoy a murder/suspense book - unable to put it down.... entranced.... doesn't mean I approve of murder or intend to commit said murder. There is a difference between fantasy and reality... that being said, I do know someone here at lit that has had an incestuous or borderline incestuous relationship with his sister. They are two consenting adults and while it may not be within normal societal standards of what is "normal" so what? I am married and don't believe in monogamy... i have frequent phone sex with someone 20 years younger than me... I enjoy being spanked, and hard. None of those are normal things either but I have lived far too much of MY life trying to fit inside the box...

Bottom line at the end is of course different things make each of us respond differently... I just wanted to hear from people and get their take. I was not looking for support of my position - so once again - thanks SO much for responding - feel free to join in anytime.

Thanks Dave - I do realize that, but my post was more about the subject. GA's work was merely the catalyst that opened my mind to exploring a taboo subject. I was just curious for other's insights, such as RuReal's - not his thing but I so appreciated his honest response.
