A Question About Anal Sex/Anal Play

OK, so I've just been reading some magazine which had a pretty dumb article about anal sex. However, there was one line that especially cought my attention:

"Most couples like to do enema before anal sex or anal play."

Now, most people I know don't do enema before anal sex, or at least not on regular basis. So, my question is:

How many of you (or your partners) do enema prior to anal sex or anal play?

I don't think 'most couples' do it. Sure, some people prefer to do it before anal sex but I think there's still more of those who don't. Or am I wrong?

We've never done it. probably because when we do anal it tends to be pretty spontaneous and we're already well into our session so it would wreck the mood. Even if we did "plan" anal we wouldn't bother with it though. I take it you don't do it either?

Or, the girl could do it before you start your sex session.

No, I don't do it myself. Never done it yet but from what I heard the procedure itself is pretty unpleasant, and why bother with it when you can have normal anal sex without it anyway.

My very first Dom demanded it when he was training me to enjoy anal sex and he was very well endowed so I did what I was told. Saying that, it wasn't spontaneous so there was time to prepare.

Since then I've done it both ways....but to be honest, I prefer it more spontaneous and have only had a time or two that I wish I had prepared.

The price for not doing it is pretty high.

Some have handheld shower heads that can do the first part of the job, but even after the next part, the shower would be helpful.

Granted... you don't have to.... but adding shower play before all the rest can make it a complete evening's adventure with no questions about where things might lead.

Spontaneity has always been the way we've done anal sex too.

I've just heard that the enema can make more room which can make it easier/sexier/more comfortable for the woman (or the recipient, if we want to be all encompassing).

I only did it with the woman I was married to at the time, so we never used condoms for anything.

My boyfriend and I don't use condoms for anal sex, however if you're not in a serious relationship (and therefore sure your partner is STD-free) I'd strongly suggest them. STDs (among those HIV, but many others aswell) get transmitted much easier from anal sex.

My boyfriend and I had never even thought of an enema before anal play. Like most others who have commented it is generally spontaneous and it would ruin the mood if we were to stop. I think there is the probability of things being 'cleaner' if an enema were used but we have never had much trouble with that.

But because I don't do enemas I won't do ass 2 mouth. I know too much about what's down there to even consider it. But I've seen the pornos and those ladies aren't dying from fecally-transmitted diseases so maybe after an intensive enema I'd do a2m...maybe...

I don't do ass to mouth either, TBH. Even if I *did* do an enema first, I'd still consider it carefully.

As for the people who say they regret not doing enema before anal sex and stuff, well, I've been doing anal sex for 5 years on regular basis, and never done an enema, and never had any problems because of that.
