I can't be the only one here who had to pause it at least twice in order to go jack off.

no you are not the only oneI can't be the only one here who had to pause it at least twice in order to go jack off.
Ha, no, I'm sure there are others.I can't be the only one here who had to pause it at least twice in order to go jack off.

I didn't find the actress playing Lisbeth attractive. That is, I think Rapace is lovely when she looks like this, but not the way she presented in the film.
However, I did enjoy the reaction of the attractive woman sitting next to me in the theater. She was visibly upset by the guardian scenes, trying to maintain her composure but subtly squirming nevertheless.
So I guess you could say I found parts of the film delicious, but indirectly so.
Not sure chemistry is the word I'd use, but I definitely agree that the guardian/Lisbeth scenes were dynamic, whereas the Blomkvist/Lisbeth scenes fell flat.I am the guardian. That's me in a nutshell, except that I'm not a sociopath.
I even thought her revenge was oddly erotic and romantic, although that's not really my trip.
Those two had far more chemistry than her and the guy with the bad skin.

I think that's supposed to be a reflection of Lisbeth's psychology more than anything else. She knows how to deal with aggression and rage, but not more tender emotions.
More is revealed about the guardian in the books, which I recommend highly. I'd be interested to know if you can still relate to the character after reading them. My guess is no.
The film is based on the first of 3 books by Steig Larsson. It is reasonably faithful to the book, with a few plot changes, but the book is more interesting in terms of character development and depth of story.I haven't seen it. Anyone mind telling me what its about/what's so inspiring in it?
That's what I thought you'd say. And I understand why you have that impression of the guardian, from the film, but that's not the motivation for the character's behavior, as explained in the book.I just relate to him psychosexually. I can't imagine anything more stimulating than having a young girl in my power like that. Her hating me would make it perfect.
was going to ask the same question.Think ive seen a book by that title and seen the film advertised. Is it worth watching .
Yes but the books are better.
They're making an American-ized version of this right? - Or is this the english language version y'all are talkin about?
Swedish sounds so weird, like a mash up of English German and 2 - 3 other things.
The 2 other parts of a trilogy are not available on netflix, are they any good?
Sure they have. In the US, the 2nd is in theaters now, and the 3rd will be released this fall. The other 2 parts haven't been made into a movie yet, if they will be at all.
