I'm finally home... I was at the hospital since Tuesday - Mom went in on Monday. She was very very sick, like discussing DNR's on admission. Today when I kissed her goodbye (gotta go back to work tomorrow!) she had great color, smiling, standing up, just soooo much better. Best I've seen her in weeks!!

Her issues were her COPD (smoking for 50 years - quit finally), congestive heart failure - 12 lbs of fluid retention - terrible edema, made the breathing very very hard. Her body was not expelling CO2 at all. She was at a 90 and it should be under 40. (don't know what the unit is for that)

So the good news is she is doing much better and we are moving her down here to an senior independent living place. I'm thrilled this is finally happening but I am very overwhelmed with everything I have to do.

So I might not be around much, but me being me, I still have a crazy sex drive (though haven't had an orgasm since that anniversary trip back on July 1-2nd). Finally had some amazingly sexy phone playtime tonight before I came home. It was omg - WOW. I highly recommend for the ladies that come here and for the guys - for your ladies... the njoy pure wand (lovingly given to me by my hubby for our anniversary ). I'm so glad to hear that your Mom is doing better, but so sorry that she (and you) had to go through that. It does sound like some good is coming from things, as she'll be closer and someplace where they will be able to make sure that she's okay. But I understand how that puts a lot on your plate to get things ready. Good luck with all of that.
