It's simply to much to ask of another person, to make them responsible for my happy. A friend once said to me, "it's not my responsibility to make you laugh." At the time it rather pissed me off, i thought him a bit hurtful, callous at the remark. However, he's one of the kindest, gentlest people I've met so I gave it a lot of thought, to try and figure out what he was getting at. After much pondering, I think he meant he wasn't responsible for my happy and he is indeed right... he does make me laugh greatly, but it is not his responsibility.
