Since I am always up to new things I went to a course on casting for BDSM bondage. I have to admit very sexy indeed. Casted both legs in a fibreglass cast with a wooden bar turned into a spreader casted between her legs. The positions and helplessness made for a huge high for me. Shy tried to make her way across the floor and nothing but sexy and amusing.

This is something I am going to have to try at home one day with Nixie after ordering all of the correct items. Casting for bondage is A+ in my book.

Do you mean these, which the Brits call plasters? I don't think that could be used!

Plaster of Paris casting actually used to be commonplace. Pretty sure that's what I had when I broke my wrist as a kid. According to wikipedia, fiberglass has replaced plaster mostly, but shoot, if it was good enough to hold you immobile back then to let the bones knit, it should still work now, right? I suspect the transition to fiberglass was primarily a practical move, not a necessary one. Wikipedia says that fiberglass ones can get wet, so that's definitely an advantage...but I'm sure plaster would still work!

Right, that's Plaster of Paris! Gypsona is sold in medical supply stores too. So yes, what I was saying answers that question.

Y'know, as much as people call Home Depot "Dom Depot" for all the kink friendly stuff, I think I get more ides from visiting the art supply store. I guess that says something about my tastes...

We spoke about plaster casts. One has to be careful because the plaster produces more heat than the fibreglass it is also more messy to use. If you are thinking of trying this remember you need to put something between the skin and the casting material.

You can also get it in different colours and you can get fibreglass wet again if you are planning for some prolonged wear.

He had some very cool pictures of different castings and outfits he did. Cast corset anyone?

I think what RuReal meant by plaster of Paris being hot is the heat released while it sets up. It's an exothermic reaction, and if you've got a lot of it in one place, or you start with hot water, there's actually a potential for a burn.

But to your point, yes, I remember scratching under a cast with a coat hanger. God, that itched. What a fecund environment for all sorts of fungi and bacteria.

If you cut the cast off cleanly, you could add straps and buckles to it to re-use it.

You are very correct about the exothermic reaction. Even with cold water it still can burn. You have to make sure you have the correct items to properly cast and protect the skin.

Well purchased something that is easily used as a spanking bench from Costco the other day. Pervertables everywhere.

I for one used a 30cm ruler when I was a kid. Then someone realised if i left the ruler half down the cast, i totally looked like a robot with a wrist dagger. SO, all things considered the benefits of being an awesome robot may outweigh the transitory, fleeting pain of breaking bone.
