Not going to make a list for you; you are either astute and knowledgeable, or you aren’t.

For all the Lefty Tea Party bashers, you had good reason to do your worst as indeed, loosely organized Americans advocating smaller government, lower taxes and less government interference in society proved to be a formidable force across the board in dozens of elections. As was indeed, Governor Sarah Palin, who functioned as ‘King Maker’, in half a dozen States.

Curious California indeed, a retreaded old Hippy, Jerry Brown, still a pothead, is actually running for office again; imagine that!

Then, two major female CEO’s, from EBAY and Hewlett Packard, purchased their way into political competition in the bankrupt Golden State; go figure.

The Unions spent 6 million bucks in Arkansas and lost; most Democrat Candidates are running as far away from Obama as they can…calculate that for November.

Harry Reid & Son are running in Nevada, but the ladies are on the march there too, again, go figure.

“Kick Ass” Obama is fast becoming the laughing stock of the world as all his immature policies fail, one after the other as the debt rises, unemployment remains high and petty dictators around the world flaunt and ignore his Messianistic pronouncements.

Meanwhile Great Britain and the entire Euro contingent are on the verge of financial collapse and the new, “Tory” leader of the Brits is no where to be seen or heard, even on BBC America….

The question posed concerns whether Republicans can take back Congress with enough of a majority to repeal all, repeat, all, of the far left legislation forced upon an innocent public; and whether America can survive the next 31 months until Obama goes into the History books.

Perhaps grounds for impeachment can be discovered to impede his headlong plunge into socialism.

One can hope.

I think the Reps will be able to take the House, and maybe the Senate, but nowhere near enough in the latter to override a veto. They won't be able to repeal anything until Jan. 2013, but at least they will be able to defeat any similar attempts by the Big O.

Impeachment will never fly, and cooking something up will do more harm to the Republic than good. Besides, they would never be able to get enough votes in the Senate to convict.

Agreed, impeachment would not solve anything, look at the line of Presidential succession, each and all a slime pit of the Left.

I have a small shred of hope that the lawsuits by about 20 States claiming Obamacare to be Unconstitutional, might put a 'stay' on the legislation until it can be repealed.

Looking forward to the General Election, I don't really see a viable Presidential Candidate for the Republicans. Gingrich is a Jesus Freak, The Mormon guy, a loser, I tend towards Haley Barbour but he has expressed no interest. Perhaps the new guy, Rubio....maybe a Rubio/Palin ticket would have a chance, women are winning office everywhere and a female on the 2012 Republican ticket might well be a winning combination....dunno....

Pipe dreams. Sharron Angle winning that primary probably snatched defeat from the jaws of victory for the GOP in NV.

Pelosi IS up for re-election this year.

Rubio is a Bush sock-puppet.

How smart is it spending $70+ million of your own money for a job that pays less than $200K? Whats in it for Meg Whitman?

Does it make a difference which crime family runs Washington?

May the BP oil slick creep into your garden and become infatuated with your tomatoes.

You have become, or perhaps have always been, a cynic, my hoary friend, and not in the good definition, 'to question', but in the modern idiom, 'one who sees no innate good...'

There is a phrase and a concept floating around in the ether of late: American Exceptionalism, and although it is given light heed by the Left, who, in general, despise everything about America and its history, I suggest there is intrinsic value in that which one calls Americanism than you might suspect...

A host of nations, former and current, have imposed an Empire upon various peoples around the world as far back as history records.

The road from the Magna Carta to the Constitution of the United States was a long road, but a fruitful one in terms of recognizing and protecting the essential value of individual human life.

The philosophy and politics of the last thousand years are convoluted and sometimes contradictory, but one can discern, if one looks close enough, a definite trend towards recognition and respect for individual rights and liberties.

I shan't offer even a thumbnail sketch of how and why the British Colonies rejected the Monarchy and chose Independence, but I will make the clear statement that the event and the Founding documents that followed was one of the most important in all of human history.

I will also postulate that human individual freedom, once earned and maintained, as it has been in America, is a light that shall never be extinguished.

Generations come and go as do trending political innovations; but the Nation remains and will continue to do so despite your criticisms and those of many others.

Most of my Progressive opponents on this forum lack an essential foundation upon which to base their conceptual expressions of good and evil as it applies to government or any other human endeavor. I suspected, from many of your previous pronouncements on human matters that you had such a foundation.

You know as well as I do that all members of the House, including Pelosi, are elected or reelected every two years. Predicting she will win in SF is akin to predicting that the sun will rise in the East or that water will run downhill. However, I predict that the Reps will take control of the House, therefore dislodging her from the ofice of Speaker.

Boxer and Reid are in for some very tough campaigns. They might or might not win; it will be close.

Sharron Angle: Nevada Candidate Already Providing Treasure Chest Of Goodies For Harry Reid

There was noticeable glee among supporters of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) Tuesday night. The upset victory of Tea Party favorite Sharron Angle in the Nevada Republican primary ensures that the subsequent months of campaigning will be fought as much over her record as his.

By Wednesday morning, the flood of opposition research on Angle had burst wide open. Talking Points Memo reported that Angle once "spoke out strongly against fluoride, the substance known alternately for improving dental health and as a Communist plot to undermine Western democracy." Prior to that, The Plum Line's Greg Sargent pointed to an interview that Angle gave to Liberty Watch magazine in February 2010, in which she suggested support for making alcohol consumption illegal. Reid's campaign, Sargent added, was planning to paint Angle as, essentially, crazy.

There is, indeed, a veritable treasure trove of information from which Reid and his backers can pick. And as evidence, a Democratic source sends over a few Angle bits that have yet to gain national attention but which, nevertheless, seem likely to drive a wedge between the GOP candidate and the contingent of female voters who might be intrigued by her campaign.

The first is a 1999 Associated Press piece that noted Angle's proposal of a bill that "would have required doctors to inform women seeking abortions about a controversial theory linking an increased risk of breast cancer with abortion." Angle is devoutly pro-life. But the abortion-causes-breast cancer theory is myth (spread, in part, to discourage abortions).

The second nugget provides another window into Angle's traditional-values mindset. Back on October 2009, the Tea Party favorite expressed her support for federal legislation that would define marriage as between a man and a woman. All of which is conservative mainstream ideology. But in making her case, Angle suggested pretty clearly that it is unacceptable and wrong for both parents to actually hold jobs simultaneously.

"Right now, we say in a traditional home one parent stays home with the children and the other provides the financial support for that family," she said. "That is the acceptable and right thing to do. If we begin to expand that, not only do we dilute the resources that are available, we begin to dilute things like health care, retirement, all the things offered to families that help them be a family."

This material was gleaned through basic research on Angle's interviews with various local publications. It stands to reason that the quotes and anecdotes only get more colorful from here through November.

we may need a thread for ami's new sweetheart;

let's help her keep him in a sustained state of arousal for the next several months.

a few more gems.

Talking Points Memo reports that Angle, when serving in the Nevada state legislature, endeavored to garner support for "a prison drug rehabilitation program that would involve prisoners quitting drugs cold turkey, with saunas and massages as part of treatment -- an idea promoted by the Church of Scientology. Angle also tried to organize a legislative trip to a jail in Mexico that uses this program, and the trip would have been paid for by an individual who is a Scientologist, according to the Sun."

===
Angle's faith quickly surfaced, extinguishing her argument that she disapproves of medical marijuana primarily on the elementary premise that it's illegal. 'I would tell you that I have the same feelings about legalizing marijuana, not medical marijuana, but just legalizing marijuana,' Angle offered. 'I feel the same about legalizing alcohol. The effect on society is so great that I'm just not a real proponent of legalizing any drug or encouraging any drug abuse,' she continued. 'I'm elected by the people to protect, and I think that law should protect.'

The peculiar ideology of Sharron Angle, the Republican nominee challenging Sen. Harry Reid in Nevada, is perhaps no better illustrated than by her embrace of the patriot group Oath Keepers, whose membership of uniformed soldiers and police take an oath to refuse orders they see as unconstitutional -- including enforcement of gun laws, violations of states' sovereignty, and "any order to blockade American cities, thus turning them into giant concentration camps."

-=--
Angle calls Social Security 'a broken system without much to recommend it.' She hasn't offered a detailed plan but says seniors now collecting benefits would not be cut off. Workers over time would be shifted to private retirement accounts, an idea that is similar to what former President George W. Bush proposed six years ago only to see it flop. 'I really don't trust big government,' Angle told voters gathered at a private home, explaining her support for ending Social Security.
===
QUESTION: Is there a Federal department/cabinet position you would support eliminating? Explain.

ANGLE: Yes. There are several Federal departments that are not covered by the Constitutional Federal enumerated powers clause and should be given back to the states per the Tenth amendment. Those cuts should include the Department of Education, Department of Energy, Environmental Protection Agency, IRS code, audit the FED leading to cuts, National Endowment of the Arts, Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, Planned Parenthood funding, funding of czars and more. I include these cuts in my economic policy for taking back our government. ]

Well, Hell's Bell's Pure, nice to see you still on the attack; some things never change.

Ah, where to begin...first of all you are behind the times, even your compatriot greenies acknowledge that sodium fluoride is a poisonous substance:

http://www.ecomall.com/greenshopping/fluoride.htm
In November 2006, the American Dental Association sent a communiqué to its members letting them know that fluoride is too dangerous for infants under the age of one. In order to prevent tooth damage fluoridated water should not be added to food or formula for babies. As we understand it, this information was shared with the members of the ADA, but not disseminated elsewhere by them

The political argument is quite simple; people purchase water from a public utility, usually, there are exceptions with private suppliers. What they purchase is pure water, as pure and free of chemical residue as possible and within certain preset limitations. Your Big Brother nanny types have suggested adding birth control chemicals and vitamins to the water supply as a, 'public service', and adding fluoride as a tooth decay preventative was a controversial issue way back in the 60's when I began doing talk radio.

Kinda come full circle, haven't we?

Si...the lady is pro life and anti abortion; most people with a moral foundation support that position. It is mainly the far left anti life people without a moral base who disregard the value of human life. But...you and I have had this debate years ago and...I won....:)

Marriage is between a man and a woman and mainstream America agrees to the extent of defeating every attempt to change it at the polls.
"...Right now, we say in a traditional home one parent stays home with the children and the other provides the financial support for that family," she said. "That is the acceptable and right thing to do..."

The rush by 40 year old plus children of the 60's hippies, to have a child by any means as a psychological necessity, should convince or at least awaken the most deadheaded lefties to the acknowledgment that 'family' is a key and essential ingredient in long term human happiness.

There is a full generation of children raised by public schools, daycare establishments and babysitters who have created a set of statistics even you should trouble yourself with.

Having a child should naturally obligate the mother to raise and nurture that child?

Sillly women who were seduced to join the work force and postpone or forego having children are now paying the price of that choice. Government was happy with the revenue from both parents and ready, willing and eager to raise taxes even more to inhouse company daycare, pregnancy leave and a whole host of female problems that arose when they flooded into the market place.

Personally, I haven't taken the time to research just who this Ms. Angle is, I did read the hype, which you plagarized, from the pundits who appear pleased that she will oppose Reid...but then, it is what it is, punditry and spin.

Personally I would love to see an electoral tsunami that swept every Democrat from office this coming November. That won't happen of course, but enough may well be elected to pull the handle on the flush toilet for Obama's grand reformation.

Consider yourself slapped on the back of the head, Gibbs style (from NCIS), as a wake-up call or a reality check...you surely need one.

I suppose youre too lazy to get your dick out of her and go to the ADA website, which states:

Welcome to your best resource for information on fluoride
About fluoride and community water fluoridation

As Surgeon General Richard H. Carmona noted, “Fluoridation is the single most effective public health measure to prevent tooth decay and improve oral health over a lifetime, for both children and adults.”

For over five decades, the American Dental Association has continuously endorsed the fluoridation of community water supplies and the use of fluoride-containing products as safe and effective measures for preventing tooth decay.

Harry Reid picked and got his dream opponent in Nevada. 3 months ago he looked like a lame duck. Now, thanks to him helping out the Teabaggers, he's a slim favorite. Talk about a turnaround.

The Republicans will win the Senate seat in Arkansas. Arkansas is a pretty Red state, and this won't be a great cycle for Democrats.

However, Boxer will easily defend her seat in California. Governor is a more interesting race. A lot of teabaggers and far right social conservatives don't really trust Whitman. Of course, they aren't going to vote for Jerry Brown. We also have the legalize and tax marijuana proposition coming up in November, which might drive some mostly apathetic, moderate liberals to the polls.

At this point the chance of a Republican takeover of the Senate in 2010 is somewhere below 10%. Even if the Republicans take Penn and Nevada, win Colorado and Illinois and defend Ohio (along with taking the easy wins in ND, AR, IN and DE), you still need to win California to get to a 50-50 tie. Carly Fiorina is a fairly weak candidate. She has no political experience and has already made one major gaffe about hair. She was a pretty bad CEO of HP. Also, California is still California. We're much more willing to elect a moderate republican as governor than send a Republican to Washington to sit in the Senate.

The House of course is much harder to predict. A slim Republican majority isn't totally out of the question. Democrats will certainly lose some of the seats they captured in light red districts on Obama's coat tails.

Finally, the economy is improving. By 2012 we'll be in the midst of another economic boom, no matter what happens in 2010. It will take a HUGE scandal for Obama to lose in 2012. Plus, the present line-up of potential challengers is pretty weak. Mittens Romney? Sarah Palin? Haley "What Oil Spill?" Barbour? Tim "My kids barely know who I am" Pawlenty?

Basically, 2010 is the Republican's big chance to gain some ground before getting smacked back down in 2012. People aren't that happy with the democrats, but they haven't forgotten the failed policies of Bush and Cheney, and the Republican Brand is still badly damaged.
