Okay, many of you don’t know that our resident computer genius and prince is also a storyteller.

A novelist who just happens to wear a crown.

Of course he’s never published stories under the manu moniker. Nor has he published a new story under his ALT since October 2003 (And no I can’t tell you the ALT he used, I’ve been sworn to secrecy under my current ROYALTY contract).

But before that he posted seventeen wonderful tales! In fact thirteen were awarded E’s and six won contests (2 Special contests and 4 Monthly ones).

Now it is true that at the time there was some suspicion of the results given that it was he who awarded the E’s and he who ran the Sweeps.

But personally I thought his writing was brilliant.

Will he finally come out of his self imposed exile? Will he leave his Peruvian jungle refuge, a refuge he’s spent millions of dollars supporting?

Will he enter a story under his own name in the

I sure hope so! I’d love to see him win an A.I.R. AWARD.

As I'm sure you've noticed, people will rip your story no matter how well it's written, so just have fun with it. Or, if you really feel the need to endear yourself to your readers, post your naked picture with your profile, and let your readers know it's there. :D
:heart:I look like my avatar.

you are definately invited!

Yes he’s LITEROTICA’S rising young star. His latest, “When We Were Married” threatens to be LITEROTICA’S book of the year. He’s the King of comments (to sarahhhs queenship). Will he take the time to enter the

FYI: I posted the following comment on his latest story: Please enter the Nude Day Contest!

This is a great story.
But hey, we definitely need to have great writers like you entering stories in LITEROTICA'S Special Contests. The contest starts next month - why not reward your faithful readers with a quick bare naked loving wives entry...

ANSWER from LITEROTICA’S 4TH Most Favorite author ManyFeathers

I have WAY too many trolls that have taken it upon themselves to bombard my stories the moment they come out. Entering a "contest" would only invite them to do just that even more than they already are.

Until the day comes when something here on Lit changes, and when those kind of ruthless attacks actually decease, I'll be content with just writing...and those that want to read (and hopefully enjoy) will continue to do so...even if I get no more red E's by the stories I post.

That being said...good luck yourself.

Isn’t this the saddest comment you’ve ever seen on the state of the LITEROTICA Contest system?

One of our greatest and most respected authors, a man who should be mentoring and leading our young writers, instead is forced to the sidelines by the cheats!

Maybe the QUEEN :cattail: should worry a little less about her mascara and more about getting this contest system fixed and tthe chheaters identified and thrown out…

I am inclined to agree with Many Feathers. I will enter the Nude Day Contest, but I also dislike the antics of the trolls. The Hoover seems to help, but it doesn't catch all the vindictive one-bombs. :(

The trolls and others have learned from the sweeps and moved from ones to twos and threes.

That's the way of the internet and isn't the fault of the contests, I don't care how much certain people try and make it seem otherwise.

I'm finding it hard to find time to work on my story. Works a bitch and taking up much to much time. Not to mention other writing obligations.

Well, I've started my entry, I'm about 1000 words in so far. I think I'm going to enter a series of two or three erotic shorts bundled into one entry.

I've got three started but I'm hoping to finish at least one.

I pmed the home office last week but haven't heard yet. I have a story all primed for the contest but while I've been sitting on it I see all sorts of things I want to go on about with it. (A constant problem with me - I can never let a story go!) I know we are not supposed to submit chaptered stories but after the contest is over is there any problem with continuing a story line? I mean if you don't win anything there shouldn't be a problem - right?!? Thanks - a newbie

As long as the story that you're entering is a self-contained story -- IOW it has a resolution and doesn't require reading anything before or after to understand/enjoy the story -- then there's no prohibition from exploring more about the characters/setting in later stories.

If you've already finished the story, and you're simply thinking of more that you'd like to do with the characters after the fact, then you're probably on solid ground.

Cool! Thanks Exceedingly Silly One!

No problem :D

As long as the continuing story won't be entered in contests, you're free to have any continuing parts of the story rely on the contest story as required reading to understand the continuation ( such as having the events of the original story -- even if those actual events were resolved -- directly spark the conflict in the continuation, but not explain those events during the continuation ) and need not resolve anything until you're ready.

Maybe the central plot of the contest story is someone trying to get a job. He/she lands that job as the culmination of your contest story, but the next part of the story revolves around someone who feels that the character did them dirty in getting that job.

It's only the stories that you actually enter into contests that are subject to the requirements related to the no-chapter rule.

You can also have more than one chapter story entered in the contest as long as it all chapters are entered at once, in the one posting. So if you have time, keep writing, if not. Post new chapters later.

Thanks DG Hear. I see this as more of the same character in the same setting doing other stuff not so much as chaptered work. I am too busy with a different Nude Day story which is definitely a one shot as well as my regular series. Thanks for the suggestions. Good luck with your work

QUOTE the QUEEN All submissions must be stand-alone stories created for this contest theme. We will not accept individual chapters of a larger work submitted separately. If you have a multi-chaptered contest-themed submission, please submit all chapters together as one story submission.

QUOTE lf I know we are not supposed to submit chaptered stories but after the contest is over is there any problem with continuing a story line?

Fuck! Now we’re getting clarifications on contest rules from the guy who’s broken them all …

Listen lf, the intent of the rule is very clear – submit a complete story or don’t submit anything. PERIOD!

Yes you can try and do an end run around the clear intent of the rule, do a Woody “db” woodpecker. But why not just play fair?

james r scouries

AND please don’t tell me you’re just another db alt trying to justify your past transgressions…

Note: scouries has no affiliation with the management of Literotica, but regularly makes up his own rules for the contests.

The intent of the rule is indeed clear -- to prevent multiple chapters of the same story from cluttering up the contest page. Such was becoming a severe problem in the two or three contests prior to the rule being added.

Winter 2007: 7 chapters of multi-part stories out of 81 entries
Valentines 2008: 4 chapters of multi-part stories out of 84 entries

Forward in time a little:

Earth Day 2008: 20 chapters of multi-part stories out of 56 entries

Skipping How-To, as the theme wasn't exactly chapter-friendly anyway

Nude Day 2008: 22 chapters of multi-part stories out of 71 entries
Halloween 2008: 49 chapters of multi-part stories out of 165 entries

Winter 2008 introduced the No-Chapter rule.

Your reading comprehension sucks as usual.

He asked if the story could be continued after the contest as he had other areas and ideas he wanted to explore with the characters.

So all you are doing is bitching about nothing and trying to hurl insults at the winner of the last contest. Not to mention your constant interrupting this thread with bullshit posts that could be and should be handled by PMs. Oh wait, but that wouldn't stroke your ego or let people enjoy this thread the way it was meant.

Idiot.

Hey TxRad.

Thank you for quoting Scouries. I have him and the rest of the gang on the ignore list so I had no idea His Highness had anything to say.
I had all sorts of rebuttals planned but nah, ignoring is so much more fun.
Since again Scouries has tried to ruin a thread (trainwreck anyone?) I would like to take this opportunity to thank you (TxRad), Darkniciad, and DG Hear for being here to answer constructively a newbie's legitimate concerns. I will enter the story as well as another I am working on.
By the way Scouries don't bother wasting this space on more hot air. Since you're on ignore I happily won't hear the stupidity.
Happy writing everyone!

But with having him on ignore, you can't have fun and watch all his meltdowns! :D I am probably not entering the contest, but who knows, I might come up with something (just to watch scouries implode some more cuz I know how he loves when the AHers enter contests), but either way, good luck to you and to all the contestants once the Nude Day contest begins.

 How can you call yourself a fan and ignore other members? I sinserely think you have picked out the wrong name for your alt.

Hey Babs. The name is LITfan, not MEMfan. I find the words and actions of those I placed on ignore are destructive rather than constructive to the realm of literature. When I first became aware of the extent to the garbage (my opinion I will admit)I chose ignore rather than attack or attempt to remove because I do respect the freedom of others to express themselves regardless if I agree with them. Thanks for trying to keep me honest. See you in the music thread!

The intent of the rule is very clear – submit a complete story or don’t submit anything. PERIOD!

Yes, I agree wholeheartedly. But, after the contest is over, there is no reason why a writer, if they so wish, can't take what they've written and expand it into a larger piece.

I've always wondered why Scouries constantly has his panties in a bunch, and then it hit me - womens panties aren't designed to fit men.

Listen pal your original post is quite clear. Your own words tell us your story isn’t complete. You know you’re “not supposed to submit chaptered stories” but you want to anyway. Your line “I mean if you don't win anything there shouldn't be a problem – right” quite clearly indicates that you know that there would be a problem if your story won. So don’t give us this innocent bullshit.

You’re looking for a blessing but you won’t get one from me.

As to your second post all I can say is that AN ALT :nana: IS BORN.
