Actually you raise a good point Freddie. Why should he enter a contest? When was the last time a black man won a LITEROTICA contest? Or someone from Boston for that matter?

In fact a good argument could be made that AHland does not welcome black, male, heterosexual writers. That in fact they are refused membership whenever they apply for entry – blackballed as they say.

I say that it’s finally time to throw open the doors of AHland to all writers no matter their race or sexual preferences.

How on Earth can anybody tell the race or home town of a writer on Lit. Sometimes you can glean this info from posts to this forum, but there are hundreds of authors who seldom or never post here. Sometimes they win contests.

Nobody asks for somebody's race when that person wants to sign on to Lit. or to AH. They do ask sexual orientation, but nobody is required to provide it.

I've read the rules, they haven't changed. Laurel had no problem with my entry in the How To contest having the votes turned off. It seems to me that you were the only one with an issue. If I do enter, I will again check with Laurel.

What advantages will my contest entry have? None. It won't be in the running.

Unlike you, I don't need the ego strokes of comments and votes. If people feel the urge, they can still email or pm with their comments.

As far as you welcoming an entry from me, I couldn't give a fuck less what you think or what you want.
