Anyone made anything useful toys/restraints wise?

We just bought two skipping ropes (think you call them jump ropes in the US?), took of the handles and have two nice lengths of soft rope for £1 (1 dollar 47 cents, accordin to google) :)

Oh, and years ago, the cables from a pc powersupply attached to a long handle as a flogger (it's really really painful!)

I think there are a couple of threads on this topic... one having "Pervertibles" (PervertAbles?) in the title; not sure what the other might have been. Maybe someone not suffering from Alzheimer's can remember...

:: blink, blink ::

But this is a fun topic... glad someone brought it up again!

I'll try and get some pics to the cable flogger at some point, but atm, I have a feeling if I take it out of hiding, it'll get used...

Not sure if thats a good thing or a bad thing!

It's not exactly 'home made' but if you can't/won't butcher your house to put suspension hooks in, it's amazing what you can do with a portable engine hoist...

Bonus points if it folds up so you can put it in your wardrobe!

I made a leg spreader out of an old broom handle. Just drilled holes at either end and attached leather ankle cuffs.

wish I'd thought of that before buying a nipple pump!

they look good huh? One day I'll make and post a how to video

I had a pump but it was really rubbish and broke after a while. I liked the sensation of pumping and it was really good on my clit. the syringe only really works for pulling the nipple up and ringing it. I wish I hadn't chucked my breast pump away now. as a 20 something the pervy uses for it never even occurred to me!

Oooooh good one! I'm looking at makng oue from a small extendable curtain rail, you can twist it out further and further ;)

I bought one for that very purpose ;)

I made a collapsible spreader bar out of two lengths of PVC pipe and a set of threaded PVC unions. Used some sturdy eye hooks at each end. Total cost: $8.00.

My collection of crops comes from a farm and fleet store, where you can buy exceptionally sturdy items for about $6 to $8 each.

One of my favorite striking toys, which also doubles as a restraint, is an old rubber exercise band with handles. It probably cost $20 or so when it was new, but I've had it for over ten years and no longer use it for its original purpose.

Next time you want to do some painting around home, pick up a few extra paint stirring sticks when you buy the paint. Tape two or three together with duct tape and you have quite sturdy slappers for almost no cost whatsoever (what does 2 feet of duct tape cost, after all?).

To answer the question from MisterSir above: I put a couple of carabiners into my bag. They're quite inexpensive, and while you can get some that will hold several hundred pounds and are designed for extreme mountain climbing type activities, your submissive/bottom won't be able to exert much force at all with her/his legs spread wide. The least expensive ones you can find (could be under $2 each at the hardware or sporting good store) will suffice.

The inside of a bungee cord is made of thin rubber strings, thousands of them. If you cut them out, bunch them together and tie it off at the end - you've got one helluva mean flogger.

People have recommended carabiners to me before and that's smart. If I can find a place close (i.e. not an hour's bus ride if possible) I'm going with that.

I've seen them at local hardware stores so it ought to be fairly easy to find them.

You can get them easily at places like Millets and Blacks (do you still work in Whitehall? There's a Blacks near Chancery Lane tube).

I've seen them in pound shops too though - not bad quality either.

Homemade chain floggers. 3/4" chain purchased at Dom Depot... I mean, Home Depot, along with 1.5" split ring, plus a pair of nunchuck handles. About 45 minutes' worth of work, including cutting the chain to the desired lengths and "installing" the chain onto the split ring. Less than $15, IIRC. Very heavy, very thuddy, good for either warm-up or cool-down. Not recommended for florentining or other "fancy" flogging techniques; more a swing-and-sway technique to avoid breaking things like hipbones. :: blink ::

Not since the end of last month. However, I'm going to be in/around London a bit in the next couple of weeks, so I'll try to remember that.

holy fuck!

I'm envisioning that thing catching on my clit stud.

That might smart a little. Obviously, those with pierced genitalia might want their partner to use caution regarding which bits get hit... and have a lot of faith in him/her.

I live in hill-walking and climbing country, so I forget that not every tiny town has six hiking/climbing shops lol.

hmmmm... I don't think I'm ~that~ into pain!

lol, and that's the reason I'm resisting the idea to replace my bar with a ring.

Rings are *designed* for getting snagged!

I have a small gold barbell. just catching it on a seam is bad enough!
