Not really Chris Evans is known for his comedy roles but he can also do serious stuff ( See Street Kings) He was the best part about the shitty FF4 movies. People seem to forget also that Cap has been know to make little jokes here and there to his team mates the Avengers. Chris says he nervous about the role and he will do anything it takes to get the role down( which makes me happy), and about this age well Cap first started out very young so it all works out good for me. Everybody said Ledger would suck as the Joker when he was first casted, now Ledger is considered the best Joker on screen next time Mark Hamil.

I've really only seen him in Fantastic Four (why is it FF4? That would be Fantastic Four 4), and while I never really read Cap (I was always more into the mutants, X-Men in particular) he just seems like a complete 180 from Torch.

As for Ledger as the son of Beetlejuice (The Joker), I wasn't at all impressed. It was just a lackluster performance, imo. And nothing beats Jack as The Joker. I actually consider the Joker from the old TV show with all the "POW!", "BANG", and whatnots to have been a better Joker than Ledger. Then again, I didn't see Dark Knight until last year, so my view of his performance was untainted by his death.

Well to each his own. As for Cap I'll wait and see and won't Judge it based on the actors previous performances. I'm more worried about Thor and Green Lantern if anything. As for Joker that campy version is fine for it's time but that would not have worked for the modern age of Batman but it's funny to look back on. My favorite version of Joker is how they are doing him in the comics right now IMO Jack Nicholson wasn't The Joker he was just Jack Nicholson in clown make up (just my personal opinion) but it's a funny film to look back on I have the dvd collection of them all.

Like you said, to each their own. I personally saw Heath's Joker as Heath in clown makeup. I just don't get the hype around it.

Ok haven't been about for a while Reach beta is so smexy. Ermm... Zip I agree with you on the joker though I prefer mark hamil over ledger but he is a close second. As for chris Evans being cap more power to him. It's not like there will be a ff and avengers crossover. I really worry about reynolds as gl, that and how crap gl was in the jla movie. Airbender trailer looks good, but (always a but) is shymalan gonna be on form or is he going to fluff it up? Thor 'our god loves you too' - 'my god has a hammer' favourite secret invasion line. So um yeah Thor can't wait but I want to see Asgard over Oklahoma.

I don't think DC wants a JLA movie yet. From what I understand DC wants to introduce there characters one by one and build on a saga for each character A Trilogy for each character.

Green Lantern (first movie)- origin story

Green Lantern 2nd movie- Green Lantern Corps introducing a new villain and more GL characters like Kyle Ryaner, John Stewart, Guy Gardener, and even Alan scott.

Green 3 -Sinestro Corps War

Sorry maybe I didn't explain very well. There is already a JLA movie it was made in the early 90's and GL features in it. As I said I just hope it isn't as dire as that movie. And Ryan Reynolds would make a better Guy Gardener.

Hello fellow geeks and your respective flags. I'm out of the Lit geek loop. Looks like we are talking about movies. I haven't seen Ironman 2. I'm not sure I have anything to offer here. :) Yet!

Same.

Plan on seeing it, no idea when though, anything with Johansen in it though *DROOL*

Well I am sure you will. How are you doing?

Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude! Midnight showing was awesome!!!!!

And I agree Cheadle was better as Rhody.

OMG Johansen... wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :devil::heart::devil::heart:

I couldn't agree more. I saw the midnight showing (at AMC, after seeing Iron Man) in IMAX. Great movie. At least twice during the movie the audience actually applauded, then again after the extra scene at the end.

Actually, my only complaint about the movie is the distinct lack of the AC/DC song "War Machine". I mean come on, that should have been an obvious addition since AC/DC did a fair share songs in the movie.
