Will the central government continue to belittle and degrade the states and the people to the point that the only solution to the problem will be found in the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution? Or are they smart enough not to push their shit that far?

Of course, it would never be the Army or Marines. It would be the National Guard and it is only speculation as to which direction they might point their weapons when/if push came to shove.

Everybody I know is pissed off plenty with the Dems and the Obama regime.
We'll have to see how the mid term elections turn out. Below is an excerpt from our Declaration of Independence.

"That whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness."

My hunny is National Guard and his entire unit would, 100 percent, tell the government to go... well.. "you know what" themselves.

Which brings us right straight back to the actual language of the Second Amendment.

A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.


The left seems to think the National Guard is only for filling sand bags and keeping peace when someone in L.A. doesn't like a jury verdict. No, the Founding Fathers anticipated its use to ensure the freedom of the States. Free from flood, yeah; free from riot, yes; free from the unconstitutional invasion by the central government? Vamos a ver.

As would most military and police forces, they are sworn to protect the Constitution, even if their commander and chief is the one violating it.

What makes you think the military would fire on the people?

ETA: the militia is not the same thing as the National Guard, which was invented later to watch the home front once the regular army started going on foreign adventures.

I'm having trouble forming my full thought/opinion but I wanted to throw out the discussion point of:

Will people remember that the oath states defending the Constitution from enemies foreign and domestic before (and therefore in a primary position over) obeying orders of the President or do most citizens see those two items as being synonymous? (sp).

The Second Amendment does not authorize armed rebellion. Assuming that's what you're hinting at.
