I'm wondering how many of you incorperate violence into your every day lives, not necessarily in a sexual fashion?

Last night I found the courage to ask my boyfriend for such a thing, which seemed to mildly horrify him. Perhaps it's because I grew up surrounded by violence, or because the emotions within me are so strong that sometimes I feel violence (either given or recieved) would be an appropreate way to let that out.

I don't know.

To explain the kind of thing I'm talking about, here's a snipet of our conversation:
Him: What kind of violence? What would you have me do?
Me: Well... you know how sometimes you'll just kiss me as we pass each other in the kitchen? Like that, except you could perhaps slap me instead..

Am I the only one who thinks violence can say "I love you"?

Kind of... My husband will frequently randomly smack my ass, HARD, in just that manner...it's not my face, but it's hard enough to legitimately hurt, and it often pisses me off for several seconds...until it makes me smile. I kinda get it. I think.

I'm a fan of the random hair pull.. especially to move me from one cuddling position to another, or into/out of the water flow in the show. It makes me yelp, then purr and settle.

If we assume that there can be abuse in a BDSM relationship than I would have said one manifestation is random violence and therefore thriving on random violence would be a disorder.
