video of US Troops Shooting journalists in Baghdad

Yeah, I watched that today.

Last time I made a thread about these gun cam videos I got a spanking for not knowing that we have to break a few eggs for the terror war omlet.

I wasn't aware of Wikileaks. The whole story behind that organization is fascinating.

yeah, I'm sure that busybinladen and the crew will be here presently to say they deserved it.

and it's an amazing org. I don't often donate to websites, but I did to this one.

I must have watched the wrong vid.

The one in the OP says one was a driver and the other a photographer

there were about 12 shot altogether. But I should have made it clearer perhaps and said Reuters employees killed.

does it somehow make it 'better' that only one was a journalist and the other just employed by a press agency?

Journalists are legitimate targets and should all be shot.

I almost hope you're just some moron who says things that you don't believe just to get a reaction. The thought of anyone actually believing that is just too depressing.

No, you're good. I just forgot I was at lit, where words have different meanings then elsewhere and gilding the lily to make the story tell better is all the rage.

Carry on.

it's still the same number of people who were shot for no good reason. or is that ok because they are just iraqis?

How could you possibly know that? Because you watched an edited video on some web site?

Let's see the entire video from the gun camera and find out why the crew opened fire in the first place. What were those guys doing a minute, or five minutes prior to the start of the edited tape.

Watching people get killed certainly evokes an emotional response, but you weren't there and you don't know what really happened. You know what "collateral murder" wants you to know.

I don't think you are stupid, but you certainly are gullible.

fyp.

it's called ''sarcasm'', dear.

Do you really blame me for taking it seriously when I don't know you, or have you not noticed that there's any number of people on this board who would post something like that in all seriousness?

yes. i do.
i have no motivation to be reasonable.

It's complicated. You needed to have been there.

Unfortunately too many people assume they are on the moral high ground when they aren't. And sometimes those people denigrate the people who are actually holding it hoping for their eventual return.

No. It is not sarcasm. It is a heartfelt desire to help the US army suppress all that information about the willingness of their commanders to cover up the murders committed by their troops, especially their highly trained Special Forces commanders.

US special forces soldiers dug bullets out of their victims’ bodies in the bloody aftermath of a botched night raid, then washed the wounds with alcohol before lying to their superiors about what happened, Afghan investigators have told The Times.

You had to be there to understand.

Jesus..
Even I can identify he was carrying a camera not an RPG as the weapon officer called it, I know its a judgement in the moment but even so...
