Back again (hold the applause, lol) Just have been pursuing other interests. Have not been entertaining whims to come back here as it always seems to cause friction with LadyC somehow or another.

Was expecting to see some activity but not be greeted as a ghost town.

This used to be such a lively place with a small-town atmosphere where people could interract, but apparently the witch-hunters have burned too, either at the stake or driven them out of town. This is sad, really. Because this forum used to be a slow-running stream, the kind one could coast down, lying back in a canoe while trailing a few fingers into the waters, leaving behind ripples.

Other forums are so faster paced. This is what attracted me to this forum in the first place. I didn't mind taking the time to help others knowing I could relax a bit too with other like-minded individuals.

So this is where technology has taken us. A shame.

I realize there's Facebook, YouTube, a ton of other social sites. I always have appreciated Lit though. I know that sometimes the conversations wander off-topic and essentially in many cases are not editing-related, but life here is idyllic mostly. Kind of like watching Andy Griffith reruns.

Anyway I was just wondering aloud. Good to see you two. Okay, now back to Facebok and YouTube, lol.

Well, there's new recruits, like me. Unsullied, untarnished, unscarred from the previous wars. I've read stories on Lit on and off for the nearly the last ten years but never braved the forums until now. I missed the old stuff and you've made me glad for it.

Take heart Asylum, new seeds are growing where the land was iaid bare. Others will come.

In the meantime, I do like the idea of riding down a stream. *splash* I brought cheese curls and cold beer in the cooler in the innner tube floating next to me. Happy to share. XD
