I haven't had much luck anywhere else. I was told this would be a good place to go.
I'm still learning the craft of writing. I'd like to meet some fellow writers in this thread, if possible.

^_^ -bows quickly- Hi everyone.

Have you met any nice people, yet?:D

Hey, he wasn't born here but he got here as fast as he could! ;)

Welcome Sixes! (hmmmm.....five times the number of the beast!)

Unfortunately it's been rather depressing, no one I'm really interested in getting to know as a close friend my age. >.<

Ummm...not to pry, but what age group are you seeking friends within? Age generally isn't much of an issue here...except to joke about on occasion. :D

I'm 22. So like... I'm not THAT picky... 18-29.

And I'm trying to look for single people like myself O:

Okay so I am picky.

But those are the types of people I want to meet. Hahaha.

Hi, Sixes. I would welcome you to Lit. but I see you have been here for over four years. welcome to the AH, anyhow. BTW, I'm old enough to be your grandfather.

The way to learn the craft of writing is to have a good grounding in Composition101 and to practice and have stuff edited. :D

No worries, I've been through English classes at college and some creative writing classes ^_^

Do you have a lot of trouble with people misspelling your user name?

That's understandable...being some 47 years older than you, I don't fit in your category, but it's good to meet you anyway. ;)

Post a link when you have a story up so we all can read it.

If you're looking for a cyber partner/fuck buddy, may I suggest the Literotica Personals Forum. That type of thing tends to be laughed at here.

If you're looking to connect with other authors, I can't see what difference age or gender makes. In fact, I would think a fledgling like yourself would want to have more experienced authors to discuss whatever with.

But hey, to each his own, I suppose.

Welcome to the AH. Could you stand a wee bit of advice?

Age should have no bearing on your acquaintances. It's experience you must seek. There are many here who are successfully published but few are under 29. As one great writer once said to me, "It's the experience of age that makes a writer interesting." I believe he was right. Youth can carry you only so far in this business.

If you strive to be an author, perhaps you need to sound more like an author. In other words, drop the "like" and the interjections of "hahaha". They only detract from your great pearls of wisdom--unless you're going for effect.

Lastly, when you flirt with someone here, make sure they are of you preferred gender. Hey, mistakes happen. :D
