Reinventing AJ

I'm off to see my mom again tonight. She is still in the hospital, they started her on the 3rd round of antibiotics - hopefully this one will do the trick, but so far (she's on day 3) it hasn't.

Additionally, not sure I wrote about it... I have been told at work they may have to cut my hours. It puts our life on hold, we were just starting to work to get the house on the market and look for something with a bit more space for the boys to grow in.

Finally, I am going through a rough patch personally. Everything is good with hubby and the kids. I just have some things going on that are life changing... I have been meditating and trying to keep my spirits up. I will check in when I can. Thankfully I have a wonderful support system and have some wonderful friends helping me through this, but ultimately I am the one who has to do the work. This is my guiding principle these days...

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Someday soon funluvinaj will be back... til then may you have sunshine in your hearts.

It's so difficult to understand the reasons behind trying situations when we're going through them until the day when there's more smooth sailing than rough seas.

I try to look at everything with an air of equanimity, but it can be very difficult to do.

I think the most important thing we can do in life is to surround ourselves with positive energy. After catching up with my replies above I was shocked to see how many of you have become such wonderful energy in my life.

I have recently chosen to end a 13 year love affair... my heart has broken into a million pieces but I have walked through fire so many times in my life that I will come through the other side on this. I will cherish the memory of him and the beauty he brought to my life. I leave behind the rest. I will always love him but it was time to let go... for me to put that energy into my family and to push him into finding what he needed and what I could not give him. So I chose myself but in a way I chose him too... I chose to let him find happiness and intimacy in a way that I could not give him.

I am one who wears her heart on her sleeve.... I don't give just second chances but 10th and 50th ...
