Ghost of a Chance

As you've pinched a title of one of my stories, I had to go and RVC.

I enjoyed it. You have a deft touch in going completely OTT and taking us with you.

Just a point, I thought you lost your momentum a bit with the conclusion. Still, great stuff and good luck.

You know I loved it...

...but it's worth saying again. Totally original and totally Mia.

Mine should be posted any time by the way...

:heart:Thanks Elle. I searched the stories on Lit for one w/ that title before I chose it but none came up. Turns out it is a popular title. Darkniciad also has a story called Ghost of a Chance. I feel like I'm in great company.

cold temps

:heart:My story takes place Feb. 12-14, 2010. When I wrote it, NY was experiencing a very frigid weekend. So I wrote a line about it being one of the coldest winters. Then last week it was really warm. All snow melted. But this morning it was -17 in Watertown. Hopefully my story will make sense in two weeks (and it will still be cold). It's really hard to set a story in a real place in a real time in the future!

contest rollercoaster

Thanks foxxxy. I'm coming up on my one year anniversary on Lit and I've only written stories for the contests. My summer contest entry - Putting the Madge in Danna - was my longest story. I received positive emails from everyone who voted. It still only has 18 votes. But I cherish those 18, you know? I came in last in that contest because I didn't qualify. Of course, I was disappointed but then I wrote the halloween story and I got excited again. The people here have helped me to become a better writer and now I'm going to have a novel published. I'm not sure that would have happened had I not had so much positive reinforcement.

Publicly bashing another person's story, however, because you're disappointed w/ results is not such a good idea. Just like you other people worked hard on their stories and had the same aspirations to win. Best of luck to you.

:heart:Mia:heart:
