I trust it's no bother that I post some illustrated poems. I'm not suggesting that the efforts change the world, I'm no Laureate, that's for certain.

Please, feel free to post any of your efforts. I do enjoy reading them.

I'd like to keep the intent of this thread to simply post illustrated work, and kindly request that criticism's be directed through a PM.

The art used is either public domain or licensed through Getty Images or a similar source, and I have a right to use the photographs/art as I choose. Please do the same, and do not violate legal restrictions on photographs or artwork.

Welcome Esperanza. Love the composition of your illustrated piece and I'm looking forward to seeing more of them here. :)

You're welcome! I used to do a lot of illustrated poems though I haven't done any for a while. Here's a link to an old one:

I have that illustrated poem buried somewhere on my hard drive. It was on my site years ago. Hey, I still have your older poems, illustrations, and audios. I have everything backed up on CDs and two external hard drives. I never get rid of anything. :D

Hi, Champy. :)

Esperanza, I completely forgot to post a comment. Very nice poems and beautiful to look at. Love the colors.

Angeline,

Thanks for the contribution and I'll take a look immediately. Please feel free to post here as you choose. I just haven't seen much in the threads regarding illustrated poetry, and thought I'd stick a timid toe in the water.

Eve, Ange will be happy to know you've got her back.

Hi, Champy. :)

WickedEve,

Esperanza, I completely forgot to post a comment. Very nice poems and beautiful to look at. Love the colors.

She flushes a delightful shade of pink and smells the roses.

Well you can't get rid of me, that's clear. :D

Wonderful stuff Champy!

Esperanza, you have a very clean minimalist style that works well. And I love your choice of font and colors. Are you also a visual artist? :)

Me, Pfft!

I'm just a shy kid with a hankering to express herself. A dear friend encouraged me to start writing poems about four months ago, and I've written many, some awful, some actually quite nice. Most sit on my hard drive waiting for the fortune I'll make when they publish *roll eyes*

I enjoy trying to tell a story in the challenge of 17 syllables. You have so many opportunities for entendre, while still trying to make the meaning of the work clear for the reader. After reading an illustrated haiku by vrose10, I thought, "Hey, I wanna do that!" Purchasing a student copy of Corel Draw, then finding some wonderful royalty free image outlets, I just started marrying haiku with photographs.

May your life and day be grand,

Esperanza
