EVERY country that has ever held power and prestige in the world - Britain, China, Italy, Germany, Egypt ... dammit. whole empires ALL got where they did by exploiting other countries. The USA has no monopoly - is even a baby by comparison to those empires that held sway for millennia. This isn't about what anyone deserves, it's about helping other human beings in their time of need.
