Yes, an Alice in Wonderland thread. However, this one is a bit of a variation from the norm; borrowing from a few different versions to create this thread. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me!

Please PM me character bios before posting them. Thank you!

Alice Liddle knew many fantastic tales. Her daughter Allison was fascinated by them; curious stories of amazing places and unbelievable characters, each of which Alice relayed in such detail that Allie could almost believe that they were truth. Her mother insisted that they were; that these stories that seemed beyond belief were events that she had truly witnessed. As Allison grew, her interest in the stories never ceased, leaving her with a child-like wonder even as she came into her early twenties.

But all children need to grow up. Allie was enrolled in college, sent off to learn about the reality of the world around her- and leaving her quite depressed. Others tried to cheer her with dates and evenings out, but the smile she faked faded at the end of the day. She longed for a Wonderland of her own...

On her 21st birthday, her boyfriend promised her a wondrous surprise... One revealed to her accidentally by some of his friends. He planned to propose- a thought that left Allison horrified. She wasn't ready for such a thing! Running into the woods of his family estate to ponder what could be done, she came across a little white rabbit. Intrigued by the creature, she chased after it...

--------------

The world of Wonderland is not the world that Alice remembers so fondly to her daughter. The amazing place full of curious but kind creatures has been remade by the Queen of Hearts, who rules over them with an iron fist and a lustful appetite. One of her greatest joys comes from the essence of pure lust; derived from the sexual exploits of those in her kingdom.

Any mention of Alice in her presence is an immediate cause for a death sentence, the Queen refusing to acknowledge that the girl had ever been in Wonderland. The reason for this is only known by a certain few, who know the truth behind the Queen's rule...

Allison's arrival in Wonderland is a curious thing indeed. She bares a rather strong resemblance to her mother, something that a number of people are quite quick to notice. Allie's trust is placed in those she recalls from her mother's stories... But are they still the same people her mother remembered? It's been nearly 30 years since Alice herself took a tumble into this magical world, though time hasn't seemed to effect those of Wonderland- at least, not in appearance. The person Alice once knew may not be the same person that Allison meets today....

Name: Allison "Allie" Liddle
Age: 21
Race:Human (Non-Wonderland)
Abilities: None- that she's aware of. This may change as her time in Wonderland goes on...

Bio: The daughter of the original Alice, Allie knows of Wonderland only by the stories her mother has told. Her beliefs in the place and its people are based on the images her mother relayed 15 years after having been there...

Allie grew up with both a mother and father, but his time was spent more at work than with the young girl. Instead, she stayed at her mother's side, listening to her tales while learning about the world around her. She hated the real world. She preferred the amazing place her mother described; a place where incredible things happened, where things that made no sense were perfectly logical.

Perhaps that was why she hated college so much. Everything was so strict, so adamant. There was no variation allowed, no creative thinking. Allie had grown bored with it, as well as those around her. Her curious nature drove her to want more, to explore... But that simply isn't allowed.

Personality: A rather naive thing, Allison is curious about everything and isn't afraid to explore- but can frighten easily if her explorations lead her to something less than enjoyable. She's very trusting of others, even if they're undeserving of such trust.

Cheshire Cat

Name: Cheshire Cat
Aliases: Felix, Chess, Cheshie, Cat, Puss, Smiley, and many others.
Age: Indeterminable, and it isn't like he's saying.
Race: Cat (Wonderland)
Abilities: Invisibility, Levitation, Cat-like reflexes.

Bio: He is the Cheshire Cat. It isn't really known if there was another Cheshire Cat before him, or if there was, if he is the same Cheshire Cat that the original Alice met with on her journeys. Really, he seems to enjoy the mystery. That being said there really isn't a lot that is known about him. It's unclear just what side if any he is working on, or if he even has a side. Really, when you have the ability to pretty much vanish as he does, it probably doesn't matter who's side your on, but at least so far he hasn't seemed to have become enough of a threat to the Queen of Hearts to actually merit a bounty be placed on his head or anything else that might be considered severe.

Personality: Devious and mischievous, he likes to play tricks and pranks, and also knows how run away from a fight that he's sure to lose.

Appearance

Name: The Mad Hatter, or simply The Hatter
Age: Saw little point in keeping track, but physically appears to be around the latter portion of his mid-twenties.
Race: Human/Wonderlandian
Abilities: Can be surprisingly flexible, but otherwise holds little in special physical abilities. But he does know how to tell a good riddle and make a fine spot of tea.

Bio: Not being a stranger to the Queen’s own brand of cruelty even prior to her current changes in Wonderland, the Hatter turned out to be one of her favorite subjects in sating her appetite. Her interest in him had resulted in numerous strange and often unpleasant experiences as she came back to him off and on for years. Eventually, she did seem to lose complete interest in the Hatter, allowing him a chance of sneaking away and returning to his idea of a normal life; albeit clearly changed by the experiences.

His stance is generally neutral, accepting the reality of this world as one would any others vision of Wonderland, although what little sanity there is in him holds a disdain and slight fear toward the Queen herself. Although his debt to time for nearly ‘killing it’ in the Queen's court was seemingly paid off long ago, he continues to enjoy hosting numerous tea parties with anyone fortunate (unfortunate?) enough to come his way. Of course, he’s also not against indulging in certain other activities, if it be deemed by him as proper etiquette when entertaining guests.

(For now I’ll leave any details concerning the March Hare and the Dormouse blank for anyone who may wish to play their own versions)

Personality: Quite charming, he’d like to believe, though he often comes across as puzzling (to put it a nice way) and perhaps a little frightening more then anything else. But there is a strange logic to the Hatters madness. It’s just not always apparent or even useful to anyone but himself.

Name: White Rabbit
Aliases: White Bunny, Bunny or just White.
Age: Looks around her early twenties.
Race: Rabbit/Wonderlandlian
Abilities: Fast speed, sensitive hearing and sometimes able to persuade people

Bio:
It is said that it is the White Rabbit who brought Allison's mother to Wonderland and therefore had placed in a rather difficult situation when it comes to the Queen of Hearts. Despite that, somehow, she had gained the supposedly leniency of the Queen and still remained as her herald or as her messenger. But of course with a lot of effort done by the White Rabbit to gain the Queen's trust.

Unfortunately, she was not excluded from the Queen's lustful appetite and often became her relieving toy at times when the Queen has interest in her. She became her favourite 'entertainment' when the Queen becomes either bored or would want a nice show.

But for now, she continued her duty as a servant of the Queen and living it off well enough without her complaining.

Personality:
Timid and feeble, many of the Wonderlandians could easily described her as so. She can be pompous toward her underlings, such as her servants working in her own house and quickly diverting to grovelling toward her superiors. From all the Wonderlandians, she is the most rational of them all according to Allie's mother. She also hates to be late for anything and prioritize punctuality.

And a bonus for you all.

When Presented Outside the Kingdom

When around the Castle

http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs44/f/2009/105/0/0/004aecc55fba34216b17e01a1a559512.jpg

Name: The Queen of Hearts
Aliases: Her Majesty, The Red Rose Queen, The Red Queen ( In this story she is the same person as the sequel stresses that both queens are different.), The Blood Witch
Age: Unknown. Although, it has been rumored that queen bathes in the blood of those who oppose her so she can keep her "young, flawless appearance" ( Looks to be between 25-30).
Race: Demon/ Wonderlandlian ( Once Human)
Abilities: Has the ability to lure in anyone and cast them in a spell of pure lust. It has been said that the Queen may be a succubus..

Bio: The Queen. It is often said that a queen must protect her country with the highest diligence and grace. Her beauty must be unmatched, and her aura must be of pure intent.

Or so the saying goes.

Wonderland was once a place filled with curious creatures who lived happily amongst themselves. The first Queen was strict and uncaring, yet; made it top priority to keep Wonderland peaceful and pure. Unfortunately, Queen's die and as royalty moves on, the seat must be occupied again; usually by the seed of the royal family.

But what if.. that chain of royalty gets broken? What then?

As the soul left the fat, lifeless body of the Red Queen, once a mere human. She was granted eternal life.. for a price. Entranced by the ability to live forever, and rule Wonderland, The Queen took the offer, ignoring the conditions of what eternity truly meant. The Queen was transformed, her body flawless in every way, a beauty with a uncontrollable sexual appetite. Wonderland's "beloved" queen was back- with a vengeance.

Within a week, The Queen had taken over; striking more fear into the hearts of Wonderlandian's across the land. Her already dark heart was frozen with hated towards everyone and everything, especially towards her husband, the former king. It was then she realized her taste for hearts. The queen killed the beloved king without remorse, removing his heart as he died slowly, tears filling his eyes as she smirked before walking over to overtake the throne. Tearing into the blood-soaked organ, she noticed a radiance that illuminated her all around.

Blood was her life force. Her desire.

From there, the queen continued her downward spiral, enslaving "pets" to temporarily satisfy her overactive, sexual lust. When she grew tired of her pets, or if they misbehaved, The queen would order an immediate death, watching her guards rip her "lover's" heart out, and draining the blood to keep on hand when she needed to "beautify".

Alice.

Before the wicked queen had died, there had been a young girl who had visited the kingdom. This girl came from the land of humans, and was in the queen's opinion; a threat. The girl was entranced by the Queen's lily-white rose garden; and eventually was asked by the queen's guards to help them paint the roses red- since she despised any other colour than red itself. The girl helped; unknowing that doing such a thing would result in an immediate death. The queen catches them, ordering her most famous human line "Off with their heads."

If it wasn't for the kind king, Alice would of been dead.

The king reminded his wife that the girl before them was simply a child, convincing her to a game of croquet. ( His wife's favorite game). After Alice accepted, the queen was convinced that the game would end up in her favor, since the equipment used, were her pet hedgehogs, flamingos and of course, her loyal guards, tactics used to blatantly rig the game.

However, during the game; The Hatter appears, along with his comrades to celebrate the Queen's unbirthday, letting the blond-haired girl escape. It's thanks to this man that Alice lives to this day. ( Through old Wonderlandian stories, the Queen and Alice meet twice more- both times with Alice escaping the Queen's death sentence).

The Queen resents Alice, for she is the only person in Wonderland ever to escape the evil queen. On more than one occasion at that! Anyone who dare speaks about those stories of the human, blue-dress girl, shall die with no remorse.

That rule still stands to this day.

Now that Alice has grown up, and has a daughter of her own, will Allison be able to slip out of the newly reborn queen's grasp, just like her mother did so many times before? Or will Allison become a pawn in the dark queen's game of sexual lust and perversions?

Personality: The Queen was once a hot-tempered, pompous, loud-mouthed woman with a body to match her inner self- big. When the queen died; she was reborn, only this time with a curvy, slim body, beautiful features and her once dark hair and eyes a brilliant shade of red ( however; when presented for important affairs, she changes her eyes a icy blue). The Queen's personality changed dramatically as well. And not for the better! She is cold-hearted and cruel, and kills for the sheer enjoyment of satisfying her hunger for lust, warmth, attention and quite possibly love.

The new queen is self-obsessed and stubborn, not caring about anyone else's feelings other than herself. It also appears that she has the ability to control one's heart, capturing them in a shrewd of lust, making them believe that they are in love with the wicked queen. They quickly learn that it's all trickery, but by then, it's too late- being caught and used as the Queen's personal "play thing".

Only four Wonderlandian's have escaped death. The first being Alice- a forbidden and taboo subject that is never allowed to come up for any reason. Speak of this subject results in immediate death- to anyone.

The second is the infamous Mad Hatter, the only man ever to satisfy the Queen's specific, needy desires. She often gets bored of him, but when she deems fit, requests for his "services". It's uncertain, but the queen may actually somewhere deep down, love him for more than just being a pet.

The third is the Chersire Cat. The Chesire has never caused reason for the Queen to ever set a bounty on him. Mostly because he has been both a companion and a friend to her over-the-years. The two have a mysterious history that has never been spoken of. But he is the only Wonderlandian that has been given leniency for anything that he does. What exactly is the story between them?

Finally, the Fourth is the White Rabbit, the Queen's most trusted advisor. She is often the Queen's favorite pet, often rewarding her with gentle affection and care. The two are old friends, and usually let's the Rabbit do what she sees fit around the castle. However; even the favored White Rabbit cannot escape the clutches of the evil queen, and too; serves her queen's lust whenever asked.

wait for me.. I'll be joining or at least if Lily lets me I will..... that is after I modify my profile to fit the scene

Not even back a full day and already she's asking for people to wait up on her? Pft!

Of course, I was thinking to wait a couple of posts for the right time to try and introduce the Hatter anyway, but that won't stop me from complaining.

one of these things is not like the others *hums*

http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs36/i/2008/265/0/2/A_Lovely_Tea_by_Talionas.jpg

Name: The Knave of Hearts, or, far more simply, Knave, or, if one was feeling nostalgic, Jacqueline
Age: Even if it still applied, she hardly had a way to record it. Time never did behave himself in Wonderland.
Race: Once human enough for a native of Wonderland. Now a being composed of flesh and clockwork.
Abilities: A silent footfall, a knowledge of many things deadly, and the wisdom to keep her mouth shut.

Bio: Once a sweet, but rather silly, member of the royal court, Jacqueline had been enjoying her life. Amazingly, she had somehow evaded the Her Majesty’s wrath for most of her life. That was until the tarts. They were beautiful strawberry tarts, so sweetly inviting sitting there unattended at the window sill. How was she to know that they were for the Queen?

Ignorance was little excuse though and her life was forfeit all the same. Yet, those truly of Wonderland rarely stayed properly dead forever in those days and when Jacqueline opened her eyes once more it was to find herself radically changed. The Queen on the throne now was very different from the one that had come before. Just as the poor stupid woman who had died was not the Queen’s tool as the one who had awaken.

Personality: Before her demise, she was a bit like a butterfly, full of bright energy, going from one place to another, and loving(in varying levels of the term) as she pleased, without a mind for the consequences. Now, to all eyes, she seems cold and remote. As well she might, given her grim work assigned to her by the Queen. Still, underneath all of the shifting gears and complacent demeanor, there is a grand deal of her original self still about. She needs only a push in the right direction.

(It's me..... like I wouldn't put theme songs on here .... it's literal

For some reason that image both arouses and frightens me at the same time.

Also, who's going to respond to the IC next? *sharpens his posting stick*

lol not it!

mostly cause I figure I'd wait for the Queen to summon my char or something

Pft, slacker. :p

Not that I should talk, since I figure the Hatter would pop up after Allie had a run in with at least the Cheshire Cat, so I'm waiting for a few posts to get out of the way.

Of course, I could just do a post where he's having a tea party by himself, as nobody wanted to play his companions. Poor bastard. heheh

and if I get antsy I could write a scene doing something or other myself...so we all have choices

I'd consider this, but I just can't think of any characters. I'm only semi-knowledgable of the story.

One of my thoughts is Tweedledee/Tweedledum as one entity with a split personality, but I can't stand those names...

Or perhaps The Caterpillar as a rude but wise mentor type.

re-vamp the names?

or you could appease Eazy there and play a March Hare or Dormouse

though I've always seen the latter as a girl for some reason

While I'm certainly not against it, the idea of the caterpillar in an SRP thread initially brings to mind a few disturbing pieces of fanfiction I've read in my time. *shudders*

And I'm actually fine if nobody takes the March Hare or Dormouse. Mostly because I could easily picture the Hatter having a tea party by himself as he talks to an empty chair.

He's quite mad in that way.

Bob and Doug.

And you could play them exactly like bob and Doug MacKenzie from great white north.

you know..... this just begs the asking..... Did anyone else see the Scifi two parter Alice?

you should... cause it was fucking awesome... and makes me wonder(what with the year before having the gloriousness of Tinman) why SciFi can't pump out quality movies more than once a year?! *bemoans the only mst3k fodder that seems to always be coming out nowadays*
