Help!

Somehow Lit just managed to replace the text from chapter three of my "The Play Is The Thing" series with the duplicate text from chapter two! This just happened, within the past few days.

I recently lost my entire stored material on my computer, so I don't have the ability to retrieve it from my end.

This chapter three is the final chapter of that series, and it's a long chapter. There is no way I'm re-writing that thing from memory. Does anybody know if Lit has the ability to retrieve it, once they screw up and delete it? Who do I need to contact, and how do I contact them?

Drip's right in that the folks in the AH might be able to help you better - but having said that, I can't imagine that anyone will be able to offer anything more than sympathy and a recommendation that you send a PM (not an email - because of spam, emails don't get read as much) to Laurel explaining what's happened. Well, I PM'd Laurel last night, and I just noticed this morning that the erroneous chapter has been completely deleted from my Submissions page. Now that series only lists two chapters. I'm hoping this means Laurel received my PM and is working on retrieving my story. I'll be grateful as hell if she can do it, yet I hope she doesn't end up losing all the public comments that went with that chapter. There were a few really funny ones.

Looks like it will be restored, fingers crossed.

Just for fun, I did a google search and found an old link to the story, which when you click on it, reads:

This submission is awaiting moderator's approval
Then it will be accessible for browsing

So it sounds like Laurel's working on it.
