What is the most disturbing sex scene from a movie?

In a shameless theft of another thread's idea, I'll start this one.

While sex scenes in movies usually are a nice treat for the eyes and the imaginations, there are a lot of examples in which a sex scene - through subject matter, filming, "graphicality", associations - really shows us how perverted, strong, hurtful, destructive, offensive, life-altering and ugly the act can be.

Sex being the most wonderful thing in the world? Not always.
Yet, while people might find it a strange idea for a thread, let me remind you that sex in films (together with maybe death) is one of the rare occasions where a fictitious text can really affect us, emotionally, intelectually and even affectively/physically. Unlike all other subjects, I guess.

So name them if you remember them. Goes without saying that I do NOT refer to porn movies but conventional movies, be they blockbusters, hollywood, european, or whatever.

Distrubing sex scenes that come to my mind are:

- the rape scene in "Irreversible" (it never ends)
- the rape scene in "Clockwork Orange" (the bizarre conotations of costume, music and rythm)

- but the most disturbing - without a doubt - the opening of "Antichrist"

That one

Would the kissing scene from "Species" be included in this thread, even though it was a scene that was leading to sex?

Saw that movie a long time ago, but what's so disturbing about that?

ETA: Nevermind, I just remembered what it actually was... guess it could qualify :D

the end to 'requiem for a dream' the build up of the character knowing how low shes prepared to go and then the final scene where shes told to do something so far away from what she would of done in the past and the look on her face, half disgust, half given up. Quite disturbing.

The Great Ecstasy Of Robert Carmichael ... if you don't get bored and switch off before it, but this is the deifintition of gratuitous and a film I'd never watch again. I don't have a problem with any of the others mentioned, or A Clockwork Orange.. I think it's quite the cinematic masterpiece in comparison!

Most scenes from the movie , "KIDS" due to the REALLY young ages ( about 13 or so). But one in particular is when Casper takes advantage of a drugged up Jenny and ends up giving her HIV.

Caligulia...deciding to initiate not just the new bride, but also her husband...with his fist

monica billuci in Irriversable.....holy shit..the only scene that I say 20+ infantrymen get up and walk out on.

Man, I could not stop watching that scene... it was horrifying, but I was obscenely fascinated. Even when it was done, I rewound it and watched it over again. Talk about getting your nose shoved in shit.

Funny how the same emotions can lead to totally different reactions.

I usually can watch ANYTHING even though I am emotionally affected by it. But this was the very rare case in which I just had to fast forward. Just couldn't stand it.

I couldnt do it, I watched it one time, and never again.

Snoop, I feel ya man. 99.99999% of the time I can watch anything, hell I spent 4 years in some of the most heated combat zones since Vietnam and I have seen my fair share of grotesqe things. That being said, somthing about women or children getting roughed up like that just bothers me on a primal level and sends me into a rage.

i have to completely agree with this one. The whole movie was disturbing, but i couldn't turn my eyes away.

Bad Timing (1980) and The Room (2003)

Bad Timing (1980)

Towards the end as we see the story unravel the main female character tries to get her lovers attention (Art Garfunkel as a Psychologist) and tries to commit suicide. When he arrives instead of calling the ambulance immediately he kind of patronizes her for a few hours. She falls into a coma. Garfunkel then rapes her. Just made my skin shiver.

The Room (2003)

Known today as one of the worst films in History the acting is so bad in this film that Tom Wiseau (main character, director, producer, etc) tries to compensate with at least five graphic lovemaking scenes. To make it worse he has this terribly sappy R&B music in the room. The scenes were so gross I had to cover my eyes like a three year old in the movies with her parents.
