So, how do we define these categories and how do we feel about them?

I'm not a mother or a grandmother. I'm not a divorcee. I'm just a woman who is single right now. On the urban side, they'd call me a 'cougar.' But, that is a name I'm not too fond of. i guess im in the milf category..but im not crazy about that title. something about being a mother and someone wanting to do me in the same sentence....it just doesnt do it for me. lets just leave the mother part out and let the men say they would love to have sex with me...that sounds so much better.

Yeah. I completely see what you're saying. These labels are kind of annoying to me. I like names like "stone fox," "hot babe," "wild child," or any that have more positive connotations.

The whole idea of MILF, Gilf or anything else comes down to one thing, that woman is DDG and has a sexual appeal to a great number of men. It's a woman's confidence in herself that attracts men to them when they're Mom's. As a GILF to be...I hate these labels. I am young enough (early 40s) that yes, I can be a GILF but no, I don't associate with the term Grandma yet.

A thirty year-old with a child is sexier to me than one without because it's automatic she's probably more mature, and it's like living proof that she's able to reproduce and bring up your own offspring if you happen to be available. i think alot of times, men do see us differently after having kids. even my hubby made a comment or two after seeing me give birth...he just never saw me quite the same afterwards..and i dont think he meant it in a good way. having kids really put a damper on our sex life. i think all small children do that to most parents. by the time i got it back i had changed, drastically.
i can only speak for myself, but being a mother and being a sexual person are 2 very different parts of me. i see them as two things id rather not mingle...
