This game would be a series of D&D campaigns, but in a different version of our world -- what if modern technology never existed? What if magic was still around today? What if the Middle Ages lasted into the 21st century?

Lately, the American Empire has had troubles with the orc tribes roaming the Great Plains. Emporer John Washington XII is desperate to stop them from attacking farms, but he can't seem to get aid from anyone, as most don't trust humans anymore.

The American Empire encompasses the south-eastern region of North America, while various orc, troll, ogre, and goblin tribes roam the south-western region, often touching upon the border of the Empire where farming communities reside. The dwarves live in the Rocky Mountains, the elves in the various forests of the north. The white Grizzolks (humanoid polar bears) rule the arctic, while the brown and black Grizzolks often battle with the dwarves and elves of the Yellowstone area. Kobolds and Draconians rule most of the jungles of Central and South America, though there are certain areas where other races dwell, such as the Pantherans (catfolk) of Brazil or the female-exclusive warrior elf community of the Amazon.

The Canidors (dogfolk) rule most of Europe, while Africa and Australia are ruled by many different tribes, such as the Homarinids (human-like apes), Kro'kators (humanoid crocs and gators), and Vipirotos (humanoid snakes). Asia is ruled by many different factions, but the the two biggest kingdoms are Japan and China. Here, humans coexist peacefully with humanoid rabbits, rodents, pandas, and various other creatures. This is mostly due to a strong presence of gold and silver dragons in the area.

So, my idea for the plot is that our characters are a group of mercenaries hired to help keep the American farmlands safe. Our characters could be just one team out of hundreds that work for the biggest mercenary depot in the world, the Crusaders' Guild. After they are done in America, they could go on thousands of other adventures across the entire globe.

My character will be a half-elf, half-dragon hybrid. His father was a silver dragon who took the form of an elf, and thus married another elf he has fallen in love with. They lived in the northern-most village of the elves, where it was winter most of the year. My character became a sorcerer, and due to the fact he is half silver dragon, he is very attuned to ice and cold magic. He can generate cold air and ice from his breath and hands at will, and can transform into several levels of a partial dragon appearance, the first stage of which is simply growing slightly larger with silver hair, eyes, and skin, while the final stage looks like a gargoyle, a seven foot tall humanoid dragon with wings, a tail, a mouth capable of physical speech, claws, fangs, silver hair, and two small horns coming out of the forehead and curving up, generally not more than five inches long.

More to come later.

We won't use stats or anything, we'll just kind of trust each other to be realistic. My characters will be along tomorrow.

I might join. If there's suffient female partcipation of course. ^^

Awesome. My character sheet will be up tomorrow, along with a more detailed plot overview.

It seems like you have the whole hybrid thing down already, but I was considering a son of a Pantheran and Amazon, living in America after being exiled by both cultures.

I was thinking about an Amazon but if Zak is going that way I'll think of something else or wait to see what the party needs.

If that is ok with Jeff. :)

To Zak: So he'd be half Patheran half elf. He'd probably look like a Thundercat or something, hehe. Yeah, that's fine.

To Bound Dreams: As for celestial, that would make your char a bit over-powered. I was iffy about giving myself a half dragon, let alone a half god. However, you could say he is part of a race of beings that have feathery wings and fly. Maybe they have floating temples in the sky or something? If you want red wings, you could be half Pheonix. Just an idea.

To Lil' Geek: You could be an Amazon. If Zak's char was banished, he would not have the same training as the Amazons themselves. Plus, he's a guy. Only females live within their jungle villages -- they usually travel north to mate with the elves up there. If a son is born, he goes to the father. If a daughter is born, she goes back to the Amazon with the mother. Other than to reproduce, the Amazon elves rarely mate with males. Once they have a daughter, they do not seek to mate with a male again. Some are bisexual, but most are lesbians, and the only reason they would ever let a man touch them is to have a daughter. Sons are not ackowledged.

Elves in D&D are hairless other than scalp and brows. A bunch of smooth skinned elves running around barefoot in the jungles and climbing trees sounds very hot, hehe.

If you are not into the bi or gay thing, you could always say she chose to leave the Amazon upon reaching adulthood because she felt like an outsider because she desired a man.

Thunderccat.... lmao... I guess I had a slightly diffeent image in mind, sort of neko-looking.

And yeah, lil geek, it's no problem if you wanty to be an amazon, since my charicter would hardly have anything to do with them.

Neko's fine too.

Amazon warriors are half-elves - nifty.

Aella prefers Amazon women but now she is looking for a stud to father her daughter. She has a few standards but isn't too picky since she has enjoyed some of the men she tried out. As long as the male is big, strong, and not too stupid, she'll consider giving him a go. If she has seen him perform well in combat, slay a few monsters and cover himself in the blood of his enemies, well that beats puppies and long walks on the beach as a turn on.

I'd like to make her a paladin if I can reconcile her personality and her faith.

Or do you think I'm leaning towards over-thinking?

I like your ideas.

I'm waiting for somebody else to actually post their charicter first so that I can sorta get the idea of it.

Well, no, Amazons are full elves, usually. They broke away from the northern elves along ago, seeking to free themselves from the control of men.

As for being a paladin, that's fine, but she'd have to find a way to justify working with mercenaries. Maybe she sees it as necessary to seek out evil or something.

Full elf - even better.

Since it looks like she is shaping up to be a mercenary lesbian Amazon warrior shagging men all across North America in search of a suitable sperm donor, maybe I should just can the idea of making her a Paladin.

That's up to you. As long as she can justify her actions to herself and her faith, it's fine. And she doesn't HAVE to be a lesbian, that's just the usual. You know, everyone wants to hold someone, and with no guys around... lol.

Gee, I don't want Aella to to feel lonely or left out, so lets keep all doors open for her. And while some of my favorite RP characters have been Paladins or the Paladin-type I think I'd like to let this one be a little more morally flexible.

Just giver her a big sharp stick and I think she will be happy.

Lol okay. And sorry my character isn't along yet. I was planning to do it this morning, but I spent most of the night passed out here in the recliner, and so I feel like shit. Didn't plan on spending the night in the chair, lol. I'm just checking some stuff and then I'm going to take a nap in an actual bed. I'll try to get my character up tonight.

This sounds really cool. I think I'd like to play a white grizzolk.

Give me a power range to shoot for and I'll make something.

Just FYI about bound dreams character, going off DnD a half Celestial, half fiend, and a half dragon have basically equal power.
