I would like to see if there is any interest in resurerecting the Art challenges?

They are "contests" , but with the emphasis not on "winning" but participating and sharing and pushing... ergo the "challenge".

Each is a one word theme based challenge with a "quick" (I feel that it is l-o-n-g  ) turn around time 2 weeks.

SO.
for example:
I kick it off with a word... "paper" (for example.... don't start, taht isn't THE word)
then. everyone runs to the drawing board, easel, laptop etc....
and e-mails me their solution.
DING! time is up, and I compile the images, which are submitted within LIT's size restriction 600pixels high by 800 pixels wide max. (can be smaller of course).
I post all entries with anonymous numbers for each. and a poll. poll runs for....a week? Then the winner gets a virtual trophy and selects and hosts the next challenge.

We CAN have overlapping challenges too.:D

It worked pretty well in the past.
we had themes of:
Window, Wet, Evil, Night, Fine Wine, Leaf, Shadow, Space, Fan....

Any takers?

Yeah, I'm in!

I might be....

"might" is good enough.

There are times when a challenge word does not inspire. Then one can take a "pass"...and even start you own challenge!
You could even make up your own rules.:D

A few others from the past challenges:

Thanks! It was fun, but getting out the paints is a bit too obvious, I need to be covert in my erotic production. When I did that, I had a more secure office.

Pencil on copier paper can be hid quickly!:D

BTW "Evil Alpaca" is (was?) a LITster

Well of course!
too many people do not even KNOW there is a visual artists corner...
Heck, Irezumikiss, who has his own thread there, doesn't seem to go there anymore.

Tell you what throbbie... you can count me in, it sounds like fun. When and where do we start?

Excellent!
Perhaps Friday?
I will start a new thread. In The Visual Artists Corner.
Then entrants can PM me when they are ready to submit a solution.
