Snow level > 7000', but early. Break out the thermals, store up on hot toddy mixers and soups, stack the firewood, and tune up the snowmobiles everyone.

That was your high?! Eves have been around that here, but at least still warming to 60s during the day.
If I put any carved pumpkins out this year, I'll have to make sure the candles stay lit to keep them from freezing.
Perhaps I'll skip out on the local party, and stay close to the fire this Halloween. Out of date with any new movie releases, but a few good horror flicks sound good.

Yeah, that was the high. In the high 20's near here for a few nights. Next week should be in the 60's they say.
I don't do anything for Halloween. Trick-or-treaters aren't allowed in the complex, and my kids are adults. My grandkids will go to a few neighbors, I'm sure.

Yea, it seems fall slipped through our fingers. There are still leaves turning on the trees, but I'm wondering if they will freeze before they fall.
My neighborhood gets a pretty good stream of trick-or-treaters. It has been on the increase for several years. But I'm not really into dressing up the front porch as I typically would be, or attempt any shocking surprises. Think I'll keep it mild this year.

Last time we had snow in any accumulation here was probably around 1993. My youngest is nine, and he's never seen it snow where it didn't melt the minute it hit the ground.

A darn shame! I'll bribe the next Schwan's delivery person and ship you a cooler full of snow.
Last year I filled my truck bed with snow and drove it down the hill an hour away, where it never snows, for the city folk to enjoy. And then I just sat back and watched people approach the truck and have fun. A few kept looking around as if they needed permission to grab a few handfuls for snowball fights. Perhaps I should have charged!
It was a delightful afternoon.
