extreme sheepherders video

Now, that's a bunch with way to much time on their hands. :D

Welsh sheep are easier to catch in the middle of the night...

Og

I don't know.....I'm here in Montana--

Where hecklers say "Where men are men, and sheep are scared"....wo which I add, this is why all the women are left horny....

The dogs are so smart and the sheep are so stupid. Actually, chickens are born stupider than sheep but since sheep live longer they get more practice at it.

Here in Texas, one of the first things you learn is:

The only thing stupider than a cow is two cows. :D

Mom is from Montana. Up there it's sheep. And, yeah, cows aren't wrapped too tight, neither. I'd make disparaging comments about horses, too, but Cloudy'd have me for a rug so I won't.

What a great clip! I've recently watched some dog shows that were quite impressive. How they distinct each particular whistle, their immediate response and patience, amazing.

Are there any places that allow free ranging allotments on public lands for sheep, like the Cattlemens' Association gets?

I think there are some free range allotments in Wyoming. I worked some jobs up there a number of years ago and over heard some talk about bids and such for state ad federal land. The local cafe in a small town is the best information source there is.

I don't know, but I wish I had the time for a Border Collie-- did you see the links in my other posts? :rose:

Stella, you should check out the Texas Blue Heeler. I think you will find it interesting. Think border Collie only with cattle instead of sheep.

Best advice in any agency: "Talk to the locals."
Wyoming, wide open ranges. Enough for sheep as well I guess.

LOL wow...now that dog has skilllls. But can he pole dance? Great Pyrenees are flock watchers, very independent thinkers. Want mine? She's still young, nine months, not beyond retraining. :) Nah, she's actually quite a good dog, spoiled for attention though.
Great Pyrenees-- Those are Red Black and White, right? Those are beautiful dogs.

Mine's actually a collie cross, so she has brown and tan mixed within coat. But true Pyrenees are said to be completely white. There are some variations in color though.
