I haven't seen a thread on this yet, and we're already into Oct.

Anyone participating this year?

Thanks for reminding me.

You're welcome. :)

I'm quite certain it will take me most of the month to complete NaNo. Ten and eleven days in previous years was easy. This time I have work and school added to the mix. I'm determined to make it though.

I'm going for it. Gonna try a bit of romance this year I think. I need to do something a bit different.

We have had a Literotica Authors' Hangout sub-forum on NaNoWriMo before.

Will we have one this year?

I don't think we've ever had a sub-forum for it. It's just been a thread for that year's NaNo, sometimes titled LitWriDoNaNoWriMo XXXX (the x's being the year).

There are weekly write-ins this year at the Barnes & Noble about a mile from me. I'm hoping to make it to a couple so I can meet other writers.

What means "write ins?" I might be interested in trying to find some near me.

Check your region for announcements. Most have them posted already. You can set your preferences so you receive e-mail whenever there's a new post to threads.

They are a way to show support of others writing, and boost those struggling.

As I understand the NaNo rules you have to start fresh on Nov 1, is that so?

I have a story that I have been forming in my mind, that is an extension of an existing story, can I use that or do I have to choose a new Bunny?

I am doing it this year.:)
Great!

Nov. 1, correct. From what I understand, as long as you have all new 'words', a sequel is acceptable.

Hey Mistress. The story I wrote last year is now almost finished. I even have an editor now and everything, now if I can just learn to hold a story to 50,000 words!
Muhaha ha! :D

I don't know if I count as an AHer, but I think I might be a Literotican by now. I'm doing it again this year.

All are welcome and there is usually a Lit room at NaNo. Or there has been in the past.

I've already started, trying to finish my book from 2 years ago, and starting the plot and character definition for volume 2 in this series.

As for write-ins, they were pretty popular here in North Dallas. I participated in several, a few were the local Le Madeleine's, and another at the Barnes & Nobles at the mall. I even attended one in Phoenix while I was there on travel. A lot of fun, but not nearly as productive as the late night sessions at home!

It's time for me to plug my How-To: Complete NaNoWriMo

That is "How to complete (finish) NaNoWriMo", not everything (complete) about NaNaWriMo. Choosing titles is a tricky business.
