Where do I find a photographer?

I wasn't sure if I should post this here, or in the How To forum, but I figured you guys might be better able to answer due to the nature of the question.

How do I go about finding a photographer to take bondage photos of me? I don't want anything too extreme, (no needles, ball gags, or cuts), but I would like artistic photos of rope work and handcuffs, and your basic, "tie me up, tie me down," type of stuff. There is a thread on the GB right now about erotic bondage and those are the sort of photos I'm looking for. Almost soft and romantic looking, but with a bondage theme. I don't think I can just pick a name out of the phone book, especially since I need someone who knows at least a little about rope work. I don't need anything too fancy in the rope department, but something more than just a bunch of square knots! Any ideas of where I can start looking? Oh, and any idea (just a ballpark number) of what this might cost me? Thanks!

Call your local munch group. They will probably know of someone who's competent at a camera, and willing to take pictures of a tied up person.

Actually, assuming the search function is up and working, search 'munches' or 'munch' and you'll find a hundred threads with great links (none of which I know off hand, or I'd share) to finding munches.

Or you can google the nearest largish town/city of your area and the word munch. That, quite often, will bring up a website that will at least give you an email addy.

Fetlife. Any one of the fetish model/photographer groups will have info on what your looking for. And more likely than not, there will be a fetish model/photographer group for your local area.

Somewhere on there is a section titled "Model Call." But since you don't feel like he's a good match for you, it's moot.

Good luck though. I'm a photographer as well (although not an erotic photographer), and think David's images are technically outstanding. The man is master at lighting and composition, neither of which come easily. If you go to the AmPic section of this site, there's a thread by Vanessa65 that also showcases some excellent photography. Too bad they're in Oz..

Well, I went back to Fetlife, and the local discussion board for my city has been shut down. I found a website for my local group who holds munches, and they had a forum board. It has been online since Feb. of this year and has one thread. It's the announcement thread, and it has one post. The original post! NO ONE has used it all! It seems I'm back to square one!

Search for the model/photographer groups, not necessarily the ones specific to your area. I can almost guarantee that there will be some photographer in one of those (many) groups who is perfect for you. Keep at it, don't give up!

Yes, Fetlife has oodles of photographers! There are many different photographer/model groups. I think that is your best bet.
