*laugh* The hurricane-force Hoover is coming. They just wait until nearly the end of the contests before really plowing the votes to the side of late. No such thing as a contest without a bone-cutting sweep, because there's no way to get a handle on the fraudulent voting. It's impossible to stop, so you have to clean up the mess afterwards.

I've lost three votes so far. Two were one-bombs a while ago and there was a five last night.

Wow! I just checked and there are 95 stories posted for this contest. That's a hell of a lot of reading for anyone. I guess voting ends Sept 16th.

I'm definitely expecting a Class 5 sweep when that happens. No way I got 204 honest votes in one day, contest or no. I suspect I have a few too many friends out there . . .

I used to have that problem, losing around 50% or more of my votes in a sweep, until I started regularly telling my readers to cut it out *laugh*

Once I told them that not only would the extra vote go away, so might the first vote ta-boot, the sweeps dropped down to about the same percentage that everyone else was reporting.

It's going to be a dramatic change, I expect. I figure I'll lose around two-tenths of a point when all is said and done. But that will more accurately reflect the strength of the story.

I guess I'll just wait and see.

I can't tell anymore if my story's getting bombed or not. With over 360 votes (I had no idea MILF stories were this popular), any random 2s or 3s get lost in the shuffle. It's in the 4.6 range still, so I'm happy.

But when that massive Hoover-type sweep comes on the 15th . . .

I can tell you beyond a shadow of a doubt what each and every vote that trickles in is *laugh*

Mine's barely qualified and surefire last place winner due to the crappy day it came out, the absence of a lot of the regular fans in recent days, a more repulsive than usual description line, and it being in the dead humor category.

And it's an LST3K, which always gets zapped because nobody seems to understand that the stories are donated and approved by the original author. Even with as little notice as this one has picked up, I've had two snarky emails telling me that they bombed me because I shouldn't be making fun of people and saying "How would you like it?"

Too bad they were anonymous, or I would have directed them to Ep. 02, where I not only made fun of my own story, but got Flutterbug to rip me a new one as well

Pottering at 66 votes and 4.45 average score, which isn't bad for me.

Starting on a halloween entry too, a modern reimagining of Tam o' Shanter, in Scots dialect so dense it'll probably sink like a stone since few will be able to properly understand it! Might allow me to put it in the seldom used Foreign Language category, though.

And goodness knows what the trolls would make of it...

Fighting for last- with my score hovering around 3.6 with 45K reads. Almost 300 votes now so I guess it's going to stay in that area.

Still a little perturbed to find a lot of people liking the story.
