You forgot to quote the opening line of the article which I think does pose quite a brain teaser: this should pose a problem for devout Catholics everywhere…

Actually, I think this can be worked out easily. Obviously seeing such in a used condom is a message to forego such things and use that semen to have a holy baby. Yes?

A problem for devout Catholics specifically would be a problem of their own making, and not one of mine.

(Have we got any devout Catholics here, btw, and moreover Catholics who'd have a problem with this? I think we've a few C of E folks like the English Rose, but that's a bit different.)

Mind you, it could also be interpreted as an endorsement of using condoms: the BVM wouldn't appear on, say, a Koran, would she? (Having said that, I suppose the BVM will appear in a water stain on a Koran in the next month or so.)
