Pictures of collars

Finally have a pic to post

I have enjoyed this thread, but just never had a collar picture to post. It looks like it could use a bump anyway. Well, finally got one of my collar, so here it is. The lock on the front is the brass heart that comes off when the collar does and is then locked on my cock as a gentle reminder...he, he.

my first collar

I picked this one up (my very first) in New Orleans at the Hustler store. just a few days ago. I had to have it. I put it on as soon as I got back to my hotel room and immeadiately knew I was hooked (and i had the most intense orgasm with it on). I can't wait to have more of them and especially to have one given to me.

MRI's are given out pretty readily, it's a diagnostic for a lot of stuff, not all of it major. In fact a lot of pretty basic surgeries will still require removal of jewelry.

Whatever works, but me, I'd hate to tack on an extra 2600 for one. No one goes looking for diagnostics and I never thought I'd have 8 CT scans in a year myself.

I guess you could get a repair job on it, though if need be.

*takes a deep breath*

So, mine's not an actual, traditional collar yet, but I've just gotten what he calls my ankle collar that serves sort of the same purpose, for now. It reminds me that I'm his, and is something I can wear with pride to show that. He made it for me, which makes it all the more special, and I really can't wait to show it off! This should totally go in the crafty thread, too, by the way, because Mister Dave's a good craftsman!

I have an eternity collar. I hate it with a passion. So Master doesn't make me wear it. I also have a heart locket with a drop of his blood in it, and now a ring. :D

I have a nickel allergy that keeps getting worse as I get older. I'm to the point that I can't wear anything with stainless steel in it for longer than an hour or two before I get miserable from the itching. It doesn't sound like a big deal, other than for eternity collars, until you realize that most of the hardware on leather collars is stainless, too.

The nickel that's added to gold and silver makes actual jewelry uncomfortable, too. I can tolerate it a little while, but I'm screwed as far as wearing it nonstop. And painting it with clear nail polish doesn't really help.

So I've been coveting this titanium collar. Unfortunately, since it retails at $355 for the collar and another $90 for the ring, that's probably just going to have to remain in my dreams. :(

Maybe I can get a cheaper titanium necklace for everyday wear and just tolerate the itching of my old leather collar with the stainless rivets for playtime.

I didn't realize that many common metals also have nickle added to them. Is there a way to find out if a certain metal item does or not, or is it just a "avoid these things" type of deal?

And that titanium one is beautiful. A good friend of mine once told me, "If you want something bad enough, you will get it. It may take time, and it may take work, but you'll get it. Otherwise you wouldn't want it as badly." :D

From my understanding, almost all metal alloys have nickel in them. Gold and silver jewelry have nickel in the middle to make them stronger. Stainless steel has nickel in it, too. I don't want a stainless collar because they supposedly weigh about 50 tons, LOL. But most leather collars have stainless hardware, so that's out, too.

I want the titanium because, if you can find it in pure medical grade, it contains almost no other "stuff" in it. Plus, it's really lightweight and strong, too. :)

Thanks for letting me know all that. That sort of stuff never occurred to me, but sorry that this knowledge came at the cost of your allergy.

Are other medical grade metals sans nickle or just the titanium?

You could always go "just leather" for a collar too. I'm sure you could come up with some ways get attachment fixtures on there that aren't metal. There are some pretty heavy grade plastics out there. Maybe an O or D ring of that could work.

I learned last night that niobium is another metal like titanium that doesn't usually cause the allergic reactions that other metals do. It's fairly rare, though, and is a bit more expensive. :)

Love you all for your post and picture. I had to give my collar back to my owners, yes owners a couple owned me for a while. I actually made the collar for myself and Master's wife/slave to whom I was a slave too. Two inch leather belting from Tamby Leather stained red, with D-rings and a padlock hasp to which a good firm lock held it closed. It was a very long time ago, and I enjoyed every erotoic moment.

I don't know why none of you folk take the initive to make your own? It's 100% cheeper in certian respects and you can also buy engraving kits to post names on them as well.

And please don't look at me to make any more, I'm happily married to a very Vanillia, Dominate wife who would kill me if she found out I was making post here. Thinks I'm looking for a new lover, but I am not.

Ever have a BDSM memory that was so great you want to shout it out and share? Well that's me.

Hummmmm

You collar sure does sound like it was a nice one. Too bad you can't start making them. You could start up quite a little business there.

But as far as collars in here not being made.. I'd like to beg to differ.

Granted some shown here were bought, but there has been a good number pictured that were made or at least put together by either the person wearing it or their PYL. So don't go disregarding their hard work.

And even so, it's the meaning behind it that matters most. I'm sure those ones that were bought were no less special. They're all very wonderful.

Niobium!?!?! I had to Google that to make sure you didn't just make up a word. I've never even heard of it before, but it seems pretty cool.

I think you should get one of each. Titanium and niobium....

.... eventually. :)

A lot of the old people in lilt years I really miss. At least the OP is still here.

Forgive me no dis-respect. I only read the first three pages before heading to the end.

Hehe, I'm jealous of everybody with collars, I'm hoping to get my own soon. I really like the one I've attached, but perhaps in black and not red.
I have talked to Master about getting a choker/necklace I can wear in the meantime to show him that I'm his :)
Oh, and I'm sorry if anybody's posted this one, I did read through this thread quite quickly.
