The rate was 20.8% in the US in 2006. I did as a teen. Quit when I was 20 or so. Now I hate being around it. So damn glad you can't smoke in Georgia restaurants now.

I know we have two less with KC and SW! Hope you both are still not smoking.

Yup.

May switch to electrics soon, but not planning on giving it up.

Maybe one a month or so. Every so often, normally when I've been drinking, I get the urge for a cigarette.

Heh...

A man has hot sweaty sex with a beautiful blonde he met just a couple hours before, and as they're lying side by side panting, he reaches for his pants, digs into a pocket, and asks the blonde, "Do you smoke after sex?"

He'll be here all week everybody, be sure to tip your servers and please resist the temptation to hurl your cutlery at him. He's old, his skull can't take much punishment any more

Yep. I'm a regular smoker. Unless something incredibly stressful comes up a pack lasts me about 4 days. I've been smoking since I was 11, tried to quit many times but in the end all it does is make me miserable and everyone around me.

nope... I tried smoking a pipe (does about once a month, and enjoying the ambiance count?) an ive smoked a few cigars (which made me sick too). I wont touch anything anymore.

Not a smoker anymore (as of a month ago). Smoked 1-2 packs a day for 15 years, though. Chantix is a great drug. Not hard to stop at all. Not sure how hard it's going to be to stop the Chantix though:rolleyes:

Haven't smoked in two years and some days. chantix works folks, I am proof.

Nope. Can't stand em.

A frined of mine brought back a coupla boxes of Cuban cigars after his stint as a contractor in Iraq. Those I will smoke. Of course you don't really smoke a cigar. You sort of have oral sex with it and drink expensive booze. It's a thing.

Never have, never will.

Grew up with parents that did, and one still does.

I quit with Chantix, quit the pill on my own after 6 weeks instead of 12, had a couple days where a smoke looked Really good, had a drink of water and the craving was gone.

Stopping the pill was as easy as stopping the habit on it, at least for me.

true you puff on cigars, or chew on them you can inhale them but thats if you want to. I smoke cigars or pipe but that once in a great while

We tried to get K on chantix, but couldn't afford the second months pills. We're gonna try when he gets back from Iraq.

Never have, never will. I tried one or two as a teen but I always had better things to do with my money than buy cigarettes and wander around in a cloud of acrid smoke, endeavouring to look cool. My mother was always a heavy smoker and every winter she'd get a cold which would develop into bronchitis. It didn't take many winters of watching her try to puke her lungs up (often while sucking on a cigarette) before I deduced that smoking was a bad idea. Added to that, I have asthma and chronic allergies. Bad idea all round.

Once you are done you kinda know. Stopping the chantix was the easiest part.

11 months and 17 days since My last smoke (60 / day)

I don't mind people smoking around Me as I think its their right and I don't want to be a pain in the arse...if I can't take it I move.

I smoked between 20 and 40 cigarettes a day for 19 years. I gave up five years ago (cold turkey). Best thing I ever did. After about 2 years I didn't even miss it any more.
