Today I shall drink an imaginary Molson's and eat maple syrup. I hope all my fellow Canucks on this board are having a great day back home!

Strong and free!!!

True story, I know more of the words of the Canadian National Anthem than the American National Anthem. Sad, eh?

(Or perhaps AWESOME, eh? You decide.)

I need to visit. Why is it that the stuff available to you you never do?

Anyway, enjoy your Canada day, send me lots of your bacon, and good luck with the limpics.

That is because the Canuck anthem is far easier to learn, and to sing. Whoever wrote the US anthem must have had an amazing vocal range! (The Aussie anthem is my favorite though - you gotta love a national anthem that's full of words like "billabong").

Ah, good ole Canuck back bacon. Yum-ee! You'd love the great white north, YC. There is some amazing climbing just outside Vancouver - try The Chief, in Squamish.

Farking olympics, waste of time and money. Don't get me started.

As a Canuck only one generation removed, I sing out "O, Canada!"

Where's my tourtière?

I have been to Canada.

I have supped on its' tasty tasty maple offerings.

Real Canadian maple syrup is crack on flapjacks.

O, Canada indeed.

Thanks Keroin...I can hear the fireworks out my window.

Yeah, maple syrup rocks. So does A&W rootbeer. Icy cold. Yumma yumma yumma.

Ah, wish I could be there. (I love things that explode). Raise a glass for me!

A&W is Canadian? I had no idea.

An old friend of mine is a Canuck. Met him through an online game. He and his wife came down here for a visit, and, man, I have never seen anyone put away that much beer with absolutely no noticeable effect. His explanation was that the local lager was so piss-weak that he might as well have been drinking soda.

I couldn't drink that much soda, damn.

Yeah, it's kind of an old joke in Canada...

"What does American beer have in common with making love in a canoe?

They're both fucking close to water."

(I don't like beer).

He used the exact same joke a later in the visit. Interestingly, he was drinking Fosters on that occasion, ostensibly an Australian beer.

Told you it was an old joke. ;)

The Fosters was no doubt watered down prior to importation.

To us Canucks, our ability to swill liquor is a source of national pride.

My Mum was researching our family tree and came across an article about mt great great great great great grandfather, a hudson bay employee, who got repatriated from canada for being the "biggest cad" in Nova scotia. So I was nearly a Canadian.

He got jail time back in scotland for forging bank notes.

I should support this as all of the lil subbies that I like are either Canadian or come from really close to there.

Go Canada! Oak leafs and maple syrup and home to the men with the worlds longest distance sniper kills under fire in combat!

My grandpa was born and raised in Canada. He moved to the US in his twenties.
