Men or women? Who loses weight easier?

Men, by leaps and bounds. Between vastly higher testosterone levels and tendency towards more muscle mass by weight, men have enormous advantages vis a vis weight loss.
Testosterone is an anabolic hormone, and preponderence of same allows for an easier time mobilising fats and creating muscle. By comparison, estrogen is more catabolic, meaning it presents a situation in which it is easier to lose muscle and gain fat, or at least preserve it.
Add in differences in insulin response, differences in stress hormone response to exercise, and a whole host of other biochemical differences, and it is easy to see why men have the advantage vis a vis weight loss.
You workout warrior may well have been at her body's idea of a target weight though. The "last ten pounds" are the toughest to lose because your body has plateaued. A lot of women are at that set point already, and struggle more with it.
There are ways though, but they're not even remotely easy and generally require doing counter-intuitive things. You know, stuff like eating more, and lifting weights.
(The above part on T is pretty much on target, but estrogen's relationship to muscle and balancing T is a bit more complex.)

No periods and we pee standing up.
All counter-balanced by the fact our sexual organs are neither aesthetically pleasing nor protected from anybody's unwanted attentions. At least women get advance warning before they have to go through that sort of pain

I wouldn't agree that penises are aesthetically unpleasing, but I am quite content with not having my most delicate bits dangling outside my body.
Plus, we have boobs that we can play with as much as we want, without having to ask.
