Ok so viagra (and similar) is prescription only. Does anyone know if there are other products to use that would have the same effect, but don't require a prescription?

I know this isn't what you want to hear, but. . .

Do you actually have ED or are you just looking for to use ED drugs recreationally?

The reason I'm asking is because if you actually have ED, you should probably go to your doc to get checked out for other underlying physical problems.

Horny Goat weed is reputed to have some positive effects on the libido.

sorry for being so vague, no it's not for me..! It's for a male friend, and yes he has ED...
I just thought there were other available options, I could have sworn I read about it somewhere...
anyway, just curious, I suppose the prescription would be the best way. thanks.

I think it's not really so much about "prescription is better" because alternative medicines and homeopathic treatments have been shown to be effective as well. I think the reason for asking was that sometimes ED can be caused by other problems that need to be checked out by a doctor. Sometimes ED is just ED, but sometimes it's a symptom of something else. Diabetes, nerve damage, high cholesterol, psychological reasons...all worth getting checked out. If your friend doesn't want to go the prescription route, he doesn't have to - but it's still good to see a doctor.

I'm considering switching from 100mg generic Viagra to Generic Sildenafil Citrate manufactured in India instead because it's way less expensive. However, is it true that 100mg of Generic Sildenafil Citrate is identical to 100mg of Generic Viagra?

Why you need to use Viagra dude? are you a looser? I think Viagra has severe side effect on body. And it is also a dangerous drug if you take this pill you have to take it regularly that would not be good for you man !

If this posting is not a joke it takes the prize as the dumbest one I have read on this board. (If the bad English is intentional it is probably a joke).

Other than being obviously marginally illiterate I believe he is expressing concern for your health.

Ahahahahaaaa

Many of the generics Americans take on a daily basis are manufactured in India, China and other countries.

Lax manufacturing standards and oversight make a lot of these drugs inferior to generics produced by other companies and brand name medications.

And sometimes certain generics work better for some people than the brand equivalent. It totally depends on the person, drug, manufacturer and circumstances when the drug was produced.

So, while all brands and generics are supposed to be created equal, they are (frequently, or even usually) not.

If you're buying your drugs illegally online or elsewhere, you really have no idea if you're actually getting what you're paying for. The generic Viagra from India that you're ordering could be a placebo/counterfeit, different dose than it's supposed to be, different drug altogether, etc. It may or may not be the same as other Indian generics, generics from other countries, the brand. It may or may not threaten your health and life.

Anyone who knows?
Just because you don't get an answer exactly when you want it doesn't mean people didn't see your question or you need to repeat/bump said question.

If you want the quickest answers possible or specific info, use Google to get them.

There's several places to check whether products from online pharmacies are legit or not. Drugbuyers is one of them.

Actually our university did a sampling of online viagras and found that app. 70% were fakes out of a sample of 30.

I agree 70% of even more are actually fake. The problem is that people don't check their sources before buying it. If you find a site that offers Viagra you're first thing to do should be to check whether the site is legit or not.

Very very interesting. Were the results published? Which university? Any documentation of the study of any kind? How exactly was it determined that some were fake? (e.g. which chemical analytical method - or was it clinical studies) Are there really thirty (30) different sources of viagra on the Net?

A lot of these online "pharmacies" look perfectly legit and some even pay people to mention them and write positive reviews on other sites (including forums like Drugbuyers).

This
is an interesting article with good tips. But the gist of it and the whole subject is: people take risks when they buy drugs illegally and from sellers that rely on legal loopholes to stay in business.

So, if you want to buy "generic Viagra" that contains godknowswhat from sham pharmacies that get it godknowswhere, and risk your freedom and health every time you receive a shipment and take a pill, go for it. However, please be sure you can pay the medical and legal bills that may result so the rest of us don't have to foot the bill for your poor choices.

Horny Goat Weed

So do any of those natural products actually work? There's an awful lot of hokus pokus in the world of natural remedies. Any first hand experiences?

Horny goat weed works for me. At 49 I no longer have quite the vitality I once did. I can still get and maintain an erection 95% of the time, it just wasn't the quality it once was. Viagra seemed like overkill, and expensive to boot. I read up on horny goat weed and decided to give it a try. Unlike Viagra, you take it as a daily supplement, once or twice daily. After 2 months I'd have to give it 2 thumbs up. My erections are stronger and more easily maintained, more like when I was 30. Hell, I even wake up in the morning with a boner on a damn near daily basis. No small feat for a man just shy of 50. The only drawback is that my libido, already high, has kicked into overdrive, and I think it's driving the wife nuts.

I've tried all of these. 1, 2 and 3 do nothing for me. Horny goat weed gives me greater energy and sometimes improves my erections, but it's not wholly reliable. 5-9 have been completely ineffective. Yohimbe does increase my sex drive and greatly increases the amount of semen that I produce but I haven't noticed that my erections come easier or are harder than if I take nothing at all.
In the end only Viagra and related medications have produced consistent results.
