Oh, crap. I must have let a snake loose around the den somewhere because I know I haven't touched the drum in months. I think I'll just sneak out before 3113 finds out . . .

The started right after I went in the grocery store. It was blowing sideways and blowing in the door. I took my time and it quit right before I left. Of course now it is a sauna.

It's headed our way now.

We had the gentle rain, now a small and perhaps violent storm is gonna slam us.

And dang it! We wanted to grill burgers. Okay, hubby did. He can sit and flip burgers on the grill - no worries. I already mixed up a bunch of ground sirloin/ground turkey and some spices to make yummy burgers. And sort of healthy. Ahem.

But now - the monsoon? Crud. Cooked inside just doesn't make it.

I have gentle mist in the air, and lots of people doing things like woodcarving, sewing, music... I feel like I've gone home to the commune.

Of course, the woodcarving is erotic implements, and the sewing is kinda stripper-esque stage garments, and the music is hip hop.

far out, man!

Ooo, that sounds cool. Need some BBQ or something?

We had right at nine inches here in twenty-four hours.

((of rain, I'm talking about rain!!))

Y'all can send that rain down here if you care to. It's as dry as a geometry class and hotter than the hinges of Hell. If I didn't have air conditioned everything, an ocean and a pool, I'd be out of here so fast it would take a half hour for my shadow to catch up to me. :D

Indeed! The Sun God of Southern California shall be mightily angered if he has invoked the rain!

That's what I'm afraid of, not to mention the Chamber of Commerce.

It wasn't on purpose! I had the drums all locked up at the end of April, just like I was supposed to and I could swear that all the snakes were in their terrariums until November.

No rain, but UNSEASONABLY COOL??!!!

Like 95 when it should be 105. I'll take the cool, but now I'm fearing August. The weather gods will get their revenge and bake us alive!

On a happier note. Maybe your rain will come my way and we'll start the Monsoon season early. I LOVE thunderstorms. :D

Blame it on Global Warming.

You should've been here for ours. They were...bad. ;) Although they don't get nearly as loud as yours do. Not enough heat out here.

We had a wee bit rain yesterday as we passed through Kinross on our way to the Home of Golf...

Not entirely a bad thing, because it caused me to stop atop a brae to put on my rain jacket, whereupon I encountered a rather gorgeous blonde who'd manage to jam her front derailleur in the big ring position. I sorted out her gears for her. That's all, a pleasant moment rather than the start of a new narrative, but I enjoyed it.

Memo to self: ride more charity rides. They have a higher proportion of attractive women than sportifs and audaxes!
