Sweetie -- you look absolutely fine. :rose: And you must be in quite good physical shape with all the biking you do -- lots of endurance, hint, hint, nudge, nudge ;)

I'm the last who would criticize anyway -- lord knows I've got more than a bit of extra on my frame. Which reminds me - today is push ups day -- trying to get a bit of muscle tone on my upper arms :D

Push-ups? Yuck!

For a fella, there's a much better exercise for upper arm strength: vigorous missionary position shagging!

LOL! Hope you get lots of it then ;)

heh  On alternate days, I do lunges and squats for my quads. You know, just because. lol

Okay -- off to the library and then to the frozen yogurt place -- have a great afternoon EB

My son used to love Thomas the Tank Engine too -- I think it was his 4th birthday that we did a Day out with Thomas up in Mendocino County, where you got to ride on Thomas the Train, etc. Unfortunately, it was so extremely windy that day, that dirt and sand were constantly being blown in everyone's face - so it wasn't as fun as it could/should have been. But my little guy (as he was then) still enjoyed it!

LOL about the FB request - I'm sure he'll accept. My family are so non-techie - none of them are even on FB! (I'm talking my bro and sisters).

There's a train that runs from Coopersville to Marne and for every holiday they change the theme. Haunted for Halloween, decked out for Christmas, etc....not sure what they do for Thanksgiving, if they do anything. Anyhow, it's supposed to be pretty neat and I think the younger one would enjoy it. Haven't gone as of yet...

I'm hoping so. It would be nice to be in touch again since we were close when we were younger. He was going to Detroit today to see the Tigers play so I haven't heard from him yet. I'll let you know. :rose::kiss:

Heya peeps - just poking my head in. A lazy Sunday afternoon here, cloudy and rainy. My son has a friend over and they're playing some Dragonball Z game. I'm wondering what I'll make for dinner. A very mellow day :) Hope everyone is having the same or better

Hi there!

Spent the afternoon going round the springs and wells dotted round the hills my town is built on the sides of, looking at the well dressing displays various groups had put on. The theme was Darwin's Earth, so obviously the tree of life was much in evidence, as were tortoises and finches.

what book is it charger?

It's a book my dad lent me, titled Hawaii, by James A. Michener. At 1130 pages it's a monster, but it's soooo good. It starts when the Hawaiian Islands were forming deep under the sea, continues with the Bora Borans setting out in their 80 ft canoe to land on the Big Island, then on to the missionaries and their families, etc...I had hoped to finish it this weekend but didn't quite make it. lol Almost done now. WWII has just concluded...

{{Charger}} and {{roomies}}!

I saw that you got completely absorbed by your book Charger -- I love when that happens. I picked up a library book on Friday, and when I got home, realized I'd already read it! So I didn't have much to read over the week-end, which drove me crazy. However, I did get an inspiration for a quick story and I started working on it last night. I think I have more than a decent chance of actually completing it, since the whole scenario is already in my mind.

We're getting some good rain here today. It's been a busy Monday, and I'm heading out now to pick up my son from school. I hope everyone is having a good day :rose:

{{{Janey!!!}}} Good to see you, sweetie. I love to read, and it's rare when a book moves me like this one has.

Oooh, I'm so envious of your writing. Send me some of your motivation! Please, please, please! lol

It's been pretty nice here. Went to a family get-together yesterday in the afternoon and the weather was sunny. I made the mistake of wearing a sundress, though, and the wind was blowing a bit harder than I thought. Good thing it was indoors. We went out to the playground and I tell you, I didn't last too long!

Enjoy your evening, and will talk to you later. :rose::kiss:

I guess it's not a holiday where you are?

Bank Holiday Monday here. Schools off and most workplaces too. Traditional Bank Holiday Monday rain too! :(

 Charger! LOL - sounds like you are very eager for some real spring weather. Brrrrr!

*passes over an box containing inspiration* ;) I hope it does the trick!

An hour to go til quitting time - yippee! Having pancakes, eggs and bacon for dinner because I'm lazy :D

Aww, no holiday for us EB -- did you enjoy your day off, even with the rain?

Yes. Got some stuff done on the computer, a bit of bicycle maintenance, delivered some leaflets in the drizzle, then it cleared up in time for us all to go out for a walk on the hills.

Hey all...I'm stopping in and giving a shout out.

Been a crazy semester. Fun, but really wild. I hope everyone has had a great spring so far. It's already in the high 80's here and beautiful. Wish I could go out and enjoy it more. Just 11 more day until the semester is over!

Ciao, roomies!

Work is transitioning from runaway train to smoking wreck and we are all thankful of that. Time to shovel out the offices and inspect the flotsam for things to start working on for next year. :D

I have four books that I've started and my daughter just handed me the first in the Twilight series (she is so cute...) so I'm going to schedule some stationary time to read...I think I need to invest in a Kindle...

Sounds pretty nice, all in all :) Now, back to the grindstone! :rose:

Glad to hear things are going well Meg. Lucky you with the nice weather! Just in time for semester's end

LOL - thankful it's just a smoking wreck? *drops off some more trash bags for oil paint* Happy shoveling!

I was just thinking last night about how much I can't stand my job - lol. I hate being in that position and thankfully it's a rare occurrence for me. But what I focused on last night was why I dislike it so much -- and it comes down to me needing some space wherever I work, and I don't get that at my current office. The damn boss is always fricken there! Half the time, he doesn't even leave for lunch. If it's quiet, he brings in a library book and sits there. Oh my god! Get the fuck out! I swear, I feel like running screaming from the building sometimes.

Whew! It felt good to get that off my chest. Seriously, I need this economy to pick up so I can get out of there asap. It's driving me bananas.

On another note, I see Mother's Day is coming up this week-end, so I better get myself something for my son to give me :D Would a bottle of vodka be inappropriate?

It's the nature of my work - I think most of my job is keeping things from happening, more than anything else, so a smoking wreck in my eyes is a pleasant work of art.

I know how you feel about the boss and space - there were 3 -4 months last year when they were renevating office space and we were all thrown together into a huge conference room - it was like camp - but there was zero privacy. Need to make a personal call? Take it outside...blech. But i am blessed with my boss - treats us all like profs and he trusts us to get done what we need to in a timely fashion. I could probably make much more money, but I cannot imagine a better quality of life. Nothing makes less sense to me than earning beaucoup dinero and not having the time to enjoy the fruit.

I think he would love to give you a bottle of Grey Goose, the little dickens!

Ah, your boss sounds like a keeper. I'm glad you've got a situation that suits you so well :rose:

It was quite chilly with the wind blowing! Last couple of days have been very spring-like. The lilac out front is ready to bloom! I can't wait to cut a few stems and bring them inside.

I made pancakes for breakfast Sunday morning. Rather, I got roped into making pancakes Sunday morning. ;) lol

Glad everything's winding down for ya.
