Cant' remember if i stopped by this week or not............lol

if you add all the extra time i spent at work you get a sixth day. YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!1

wayyyyyyyyy too many weeks of this to go.

so if i'm MIA that's why. been sleeping a lot in the evenings and trying to do and i've got a couple quilts that need finished. need more hours in the days

still raining here and i think they said off and on all day.

Happy Friday backatcha, {{{Janey}}} It's a book my dad lent me, titled Hawaii, by James A. Michener. At 1130 pages it's a monster, but it's soooo good. It starts when the Hawaiian Islands were forming deep under the sea, continues with the Bora Borans setting out in their 80 ft canoe to land on the Big Island, then on to the missionaries and their families, etc...I'm about three-quarters of the way through. Hope to finish it this weekend.

Parents are going to be here in a few for dinner, so I'll catch you later.

I don't remember if I've read that book or not, but they did make a movie out of it, and I saw that. The main thing I remember is how much I couldn't stand the self-righteous missionaries who saw sin everywhere around them in paradise. I'm sure it's a good read (and much better than the movie)

I heard the movie was really lame, but yeah, the missionaries were something else! The movie was just about them, I heard, and the book deals with so much more. They're only a part of it.

I got an urgent phone call from my mom this morning! Her coffee pot broke! My dad's out at the lake painting the bottom of the boat so they can get it in the water, so she didn't have a way to get to the store, so I got "the call". LOL - I drove out there and we went to the store so she could get a new one. Gotta have that AM java. I'd be the same way, though. I know where I get it from.

And so we're entering the store and I say to the older daughter "Where's Nana?" because she wasn't walking next to me anymore. Older dau. says, "She's over there hugging some guy." I'm like, what the hell??? I turn around and sure enough, she's got her arms around this guy. Turns out it was a cousin of mine we haven't seen in ages. lol The extended family isn't that close, but it was nice to see him. I introduced him to the girls and then came home and found him on FB. He better accept my friends request. lol It was really kinda weird...

Anyhoo, that was my morning.

And so we're entering the store and I say to the older daughter "Where's Nana?" because she wasn't walking next to me anymore. Older dau. says, "She's over there hugging some guy." I'm like, what the hell??? I turn around and sure enough, she's got her arms around this guy. Turns out it was a cousin of mine we haven't seen in ages. lol The extended family isn't that close, but it was nice to see him. I introduced him to the girls and then came home and found him on FB. My son used to love Thomas the Tank Engine too -- I think it was his 4th birthday that we did a Day out with Thomas up in Mendocino County, where you got to ride on Thomas the Train, etc. Unfortunately, it was so extremely windy that day, that dirt and sand were constantly being blown in everyone's face - so it wasn't as fun as it could/should have been. But my little guy (as he was then) still enjoyed it!

LOL about the FB request - I'm sure he'll accept. My family are so non-techie - none of them are even on FB! (I'm talking my bro and sisters).
